Hello lovelies! There’s a lot of lovely Christmassy ideas for nails flying around at the moment, especially in the false nails region of things. I love falsies for the simple fact that when you’re having a lazy day, or you have a headache and can’t face the fumes, or you’re in a rush, you can just pop them on in 5 minutes and you’re ready to go with perfect nails… what could be better?!

The other day I reviewed Elegant Touch Christmas Reindeer falsies, which to be honest I don’t think could ever be beaten on the awesome falsie factor, but these are amazing for a different reason. If you LOVE glitter, but HATE removal, these are the nails for you!!

Hello lovely ladies! Again it’s been a little while… although I fully intend to get back on track now… I have 1 month of unemployment so there’s no excuse really! Andy and I are moving in together in Bournemouth in January so I’ve got a lot of time to sort out my stash, get through some reviews I’ve promised and show you all some exciting new stuff!

Today I have the exceptionally pretty Alcatraz…Rocks Liquid Sand polish from OPI’s San Francisco collection. I adore this polish… I know some of you aren’t keen on the Liquid Sand finish but this one is a must-have!

Here is the second of five new Textured Effects from Barry M. The Royal Glitters Collection consists of: Princess, Countess, Majesty, Lady, and Duchess. This new collection is very similar in effect to OPI’s Liquid Sands and Zoya’s Pixie Dusts, which personally I much prefer to the first four Textured Effects Barry M released.

Today I am showing you Countess; a deep aubergine purple base filled with golden and rosy pink shimmers/glitters (I am never quite sure with the Textured Effects whether it’s shimmer or glitter!). Anyway, it’s super pretty, really vampy but with an attractive sparkle – it’s perfect for winter parties or a warm autumn outfit.

I was perusing Superdrug at the beginning of this month and spotted this very pretty glitter polish hiding away in the 2true stand… of course I had to buy it! It’s so pretty 🙂 Having been absolutely gutted that I couldn’t find Shade 2 (image at Northern Nails UK) anywhere last Winter, I didn’t want to miss this one which is slightly more pink.

The polish is quite sheer in terms of the base colour so I decided to layer it over Ciaté Pocket Money, which was free in this month’s Marie Claire. I LOVE this combination, it definitely livens up the slightly plain Pocket Money and the two colours really complement each other.

I have managed to avoid indies for the longest of times… I have not looked too closely at them as I have known that as soon as I do, that is the end of my bank balance! Anyway, Sarah from Chalkboard Nails posted a review of Happy Hands’ new Faint of Heart Collection, and let me just say, that was the end of my half-closed eyes!! I immediately fell for ‘Metal Heart’ and within the hour had placed an order for it from the Happy Hands shop, because we all know indies go out of stock as soon as look at them.
