Hello lovelies! There’s a lot of lovely Christmassy ideas for nails flying around at the moment, especially in the false nails region of things. I love falsies for the simple fact that when you’re having a lazy day, or you have a headache and can’t face the fumes, or you’re in a rush, you can just pop them on in 5 minutes and you’re ready to go with perfect nails… what could be better?!
The other day I reviewed Elegant Touch Christmas Reindeer falsies, which to be honest I don’t think could ever be beaten on the awesome falsie factor, but these are amazing for a different reason. If you LOVE glitter, but HATE removal, these are the nails for you!!
The reason why these are awesome for glitter-lovers, is that they give you a realistic look and feel of glitter, without it cementing itself to your nails – I’ve yet to come across someone who enjoys removing glitter! The texture of these is much like a ‘hungry glitter’ with topcoat applied. Slighty textured but smoothed over. It doesn’t stop the sparkle – these are blingy! They aren’t quite silver, I would call them more gunmetal… very pretty nevertheless.
In the kit you get 24 nails in 10 different sizes, adhesive tabs, a buffer and an instruction booklet. As I’ve said before, I wouldn’t recommend the adhesive tabs included in this kit. They are strong but only for a while. I found some nails just would not stick no matter how many different tabs I used, and in the end I gave up and pinged them all off. For long wear, I would recommend the Elegant Touch Super Adhesive Tabs – these are transparent gel tabs, which stick to your nails like glue! (With easier removal than glue!). I’d say with Super Adhesive Tabs you’d get about a week’s wear out of your falsies. Alternatively you can use nail glue for even longer wear – probably about 2 weeks :). As always with the Super Adhesive Tabs, they leave a tiny gap between the falsie and your nail, which traps a little bit of dirt, so make sure you wash under your nails when you wash your hands.
