Hello lovely ladies! Again it’s been a little while… although I fully intend to get back on track now… I have 1 month of unemployment so there’s no excuse really! Andy and I are moving in together in Bournemouth in January so I’ve got a lot of time to sort out my stash, get through some reviews I’ve promised and show you all some exciting new stuff!
Today I have the exceptionally pretty Alcatraz…Rocks Liquid Sand polish from OPI’s San Francisco collection. I adore this polish… I know some of you aren’t keen on the Liquid Sand finish but this one is a must-have!
OPI Alcatraz…Rocks is just beautiful! It’s a lovely navy blue base, packed with blue, gold and pink glitter. This is a really elegant way to wear textured nail polish… it’s not so in your face as some others (such as Get Your Number). I have it on good word that it looks pretty amazing with topcoat too.
Application:
The photos show 2 coats at full opacity, without topcoat (as is the intended use). It dries really quickly – the added benefit of Liquid Sands is that you can tell when they’re dry from their appearance: they appear slightly glossy while wet, and when they are dry they are more matte in finish. The polish itself applies well, it’s a little thick but that makes it a lot easier to control the flow of the polish on the nail, I didn’t do ANY cleanup for these photos!
I’m so in love with Liquid Sands… I adore their frosted sugar appearance, I really can’t get enough of them! How about you? Are you a fan?
You can buy OPI nail polish at Chemist Direct, including most of the San Francisco collection, for £11 each.
