Barry M Liquorice Confetti

Yesterday I showed you the pretty Marshmallow Confetti Nail Effects from Barry M’s Summer releases, and today I have for you ‘Liquorice’ (my personal favourite so far…!). There are 5 new Confetti Nail Effects being released in total: Marshmallow, Liquorice, Dolly Mixture, Bubblegum and Sour Apple. Is anyone else loving the cute sweetie names? šŸ™‚ Perhaps they should have been called ‘Confectionary Nail Effects’ ;).

As I mentioned yesterday, these are essentially the same as Nails Inc Feathers, but in different colours and WAY more affordable at £3.99 each. They will be released instore on June 5th in Superdrug, and June 12th in Boots.

Barry M Marshmallow Confetti

As I mentioned in yesterday’s Barry M Summer 2013 press release, Barry M will be bringing out 5 new Confetti Nail Effects Nail Paints in Marshmallow, Liquorice, Dolly Mixture, Bubblegum and Sour Apple šŸ™‚ these will be released instore onĀ June 5th in Superdrug, andĀ June 12th in Boots. Today I am showing you Marshmallow, the prettiest soft pink bar glitter.

I did initially think, sigh, more Nails Inc Feather Effects (none of which particularly drew me in, with the possible exception of Cornwall), but at least these will be more affordable… I take back my previous thoughts! I love these so much, and I really really didn’t think I would! I do have to say that they look a million times better layered over a base colour rather than over the bare nail.

Barry M Prickly Pear Gelly

Reviewing the new Barry M Gelly Nail Paints reminded me that I still have yet to wear a few of the original Gellies, so today I have Prickly Pear to show you! I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’m getting a lot more ‘into’ purples, so here is evidence! This is definitely one of my favourite Gelly Nail Paints, along with Dragon Fruit and Green Berry šŸ™‚

Lately my nail polish picks have been quite Springy, although as I write this I am wearing a very unseasonal nail polish, but pastels certainly never used to catch my eye and lately I’ve been loving them!

Barry M Nail Art Pens

I’m super excited for today’s blog post, I have fallen in love with this product from the moment I first saw the press release to the moment Ā I used them on my own nails: Barry M Nail Art Pens.

If you have ever used the squeezy nail art pens which are abundant in today’s market (for example, from Rio Beauty, Models Own, and various lesser-known brands) you will know that the flow of the ink/polish is quite hard to control mid-design: squeeze too much, and you are rewarded with a large splodge of polish all over your neat design; squeeze too little and you end up scratching your design into the base colour. It’s a little finicky. Enter Barry M Nail Art Pens. Now I know they aren’t the first brand to be using this design of pen, Finishing Touches by Superdrug have been using it for a while but to be honest I’ve never tried them (I have made a mental note to buy them for comparison asap!) and I know other brands such as Topshop have also used a similar pen design but you all know how much IĀ love my Barry M, so of course I’m excited!
