Purple – Rainbow Series

Hey everyone! Today myself and Charlie of Pocket Money Polishes  are doing the Rainbow Series a few days late, due mainly to my own lack of organisation! Today is purple – purple’s not a colour that immediately sticks out in my head as being a favourite, but I had a look through my collection and I have a huuuuge amount of purple favourites – again these change all the time, but at the moment some of the ones that really appeal to me are in this post 🙂

Top row left to right: Barry M Prickly Pear Gelly, OPI Can’t Let Go Liquid Sand, Nubar Violet Sparkle, Hare Polish Medusa Luminosa, Barry M Boots Limited Edition.

Bottom row left to right: Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces, Ciaté Sugar Plum, Max Factor Fantasy Fire, Hare Polish Pegasus, China Glaze Creative Fantasy.

Thumb:
– Barry M Prickly Pear Gelly: Pale blue-toned lilac crelly. Opaque at two coats, high shine & even. Crelly
– OPI Can’t Let Go: Rich blue-toned purple glitter with blurple hexagons. Opaque at 2 coats, applies evenly. Textured.

Index:
– Nubar Violet Sparkle: Rich purple dense glitter in a clear base. Opaque at 2-3 coats, applies a little patchy. Glitter.
– Hare Polish Medusa Luminosa: Vibrant purple base with iridescent blue glitter and tiny copper microglitter. Applies evenly, 3-4 coats for full opacity (best layered). Jelly glitter.

Middle:
– Barry M Boots Limited Edition: Bright pink-toned purple. Opaque in 1-2 coats, applies perfectly. Creme.
– Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces: Deep purple base with pink and lilac holographic glitter. A little watery, 2-3 coats for opacity. Jelly glitter.

Ring:
– Ciaté Sugar Plum: Perfect sweet lilac, great alone or under glitter. Applies evenly, opaque at 2 coats. Creme.
– Fantasy Fire: Sheer purple base with firey red/gold shimmer, with green duochrome shift. Very sheer, best layered. Jelly shimmer.

Pinkie:
– Hare Polish Pegasus: Pale lilac with silver hexagonal glitter. A little thick to apply, 2 coats for opacity. Crelly glitter.
– China Glaze Creative Fantasy: Dark purple colour, slightly neon. Can be sheer and streaky, 3-4 coats for opacity. Jelly.

My honorary purple is Beauty Without Cruelty Heather Mist which I ADORE, but I can’t find it 🙁 might need to get another one!
