Hey there! As you know I do love to support the UK indies as they (by default) have a much much smaller market than those in the US, as they can’t send internationally. However the last 2 months I have been beyond broke, and have had to admire from afar while some amazingly pretty polishes make their début here in the UK! But I was lucky enough to win a competition run by Nicola of Flash Nails, where you submitted a name for the polish, and if you won, she sent you a mini of your choice! I adore those kinds of competitions so I was beyond excited to have one, and the best bonus was being able to try her polishes 🙂 Thank you Nicola!

Enchanted Polish February 2014
Hey there everyone! Today I have a beauty of a polish to show you. If you remember, last month I showed you Enchanted Polish January 2014 – a lovely deep dark blue holo, and this one is like the muted cranberry cousin to Jan 2014. If you didn’t know, Enchanted Polish (EP) is one of the most sought-after brands in the polish world. I think this is largely due to their exclusivity. That’s something that sells me on a product – not being able to have a second chance at choosing… I’ve said it before, I am genuinely a marketer’s dream customer! This exclusivity lead to many a problem with restocks, however it seems Chelsea has finally found a good solution. She’s currently doing a pre-order window at a certain date and time of the month, for the monthly polish releases. This seems to be working great – both times have been easy and stress-free for me.
2014 is also the year of mystery polishes for EP. This means that you are buying blind, essentially, as you won’t know what your polish looks like until you peek at swatches from the US or until it arrives on your doorstep. Which is something I LOVE, and because I don’t have many polish colours I hate, I feel relatively safe knowing that I will probably love it. Although I know it’s not for everyone!!

Lynnderella Inner Space
Hey chickas! Last summer I got really into my LEs, in particular, Lynderellas and Enchanted Polishes. I went through a phase of hunting them down on eBay, however I actually bought Inner Space second hand. It was a complete impulse purchase, I saw the picture and snapped it right up, without even really looking at swatches. But this nail varnish has become a firm favourite in my collection, so I’m super super glad I bought it!! Lynns can go for silly amounts, so I never buy them for over £15… I think price is an important barrier to set for yourself with limited editions, because it’s too easy to get carried away!
Emily de Molly Pyrite
Hi! Today I am going to be showing you a beautiful, subtle polish by Emily de Molly. I bought this back in June of last year, and wore it during the time where I didn’t get a chance to even photograph polish, let alone share it on my blog, so here it is in its full glory. I remember this polish being the one I was least excited about when I purchased the ones I did, and I think it was somewhat of a last-minute impulse purchase, but it turned out to be one of my very favourites.
Pyrite, also known as fool’s gold, is a beautiful mineral that I used to collect when I was young, as it’s all over the place! I remember one beach on Seil Island in Scotland being particularly abundant with it in its natural state… it’s a beautiful mineral that is a pale brassy gold and metallic in appearance. It used to be sold a lot in museums and by mineral collectors.
F.U.N Lacquer Icy Snow Thermal
Hey chickas! I have a thermal polish to show you… I’ve been putting off this post for a while – you will probably notice that my nails are still quite long in these pics, that’s because they are from at least 2 weeks ago! The reason I’ve been putting it off is because I took about a gazillion photos to try and capture the thermal shift. I also realised halfway through these gazillion pictures, that as I was heating and cooling my nails in water and drying them off, the towel I was using to dry them was shedding black fluff all over my fingers. So it’s been a bit of a mammoth task sorting through the pics! However, I’ve got there in the end!
Thermals are so much fun to wear but I have a really hard time capturing them on camera due to my funky body temperatures. A lot of the time, my nails had bright blue at the very tips where they were cold, white in the middle of my free edge where that was warm, and blue over the rest of my nail where my body temperature was low… and no about of heating or cooling would change that, so I had to be quick to capture!!
(Cold).
