Hare Polish Party Palace

Hey chickas! Not long after I started getting into indie polishes, about a year ago or so, I really really got into Hare Polishes. I’m not really sure whether it’s just the wonderful polish creations or the branding or both, but if you asked me to choose one indie brand to use for the rest of my life, it’d be Hare for sure. Don’t get me wrong, I love other brands a LOT, there’s just something about HP that sucks me in with every new collection.

I have another one from the Last Queen of France collection today. This one isn’t for the faint hearted – you WILL  be seen in this colour!! The collection is loosely based around Marie Antoinette. As I said in my review of ‘Let Them Eat…What?’, I don’t honestly know much about her, but I do LOVE the collection so… had to buy! This is another one I’ve had for nearly a year – I’ve worn it 2-3 times but haven’t yet blogged about it! Sacrilege!

You’ve Been Tango’d! – Rainbow Series With Pocket Money Polishes

Hey everyone! Here is the second installment of the Rainbow Series. It’s a collaboration between myself and Charlie of Pocket Money Polishes. Each week we each post a colour-themed blogpost on both our blogs, so make sure you check hers out too!

Today is ‘orange’, if you couldn’t guess from the title! Now, I do love orange, but on my nails I’m not such a big fan as it can tend to clash with my pink-toned skin… so I have to choose them wisely! This time it was relatively easy to pick out a top 5 favourites as the oranges are a little lacking in volume in my collection. I love darker, shimmery oranges which take the emphasis off the clashyness because they’re more pretty and reflective.

Maybelline Street Art Alley Attitude

Hey lovely ladies. The other week I showed you Maybelline White Splatter, one of the Maybelline Street Art (or Street Artist) nail polishes – I really love these! They are really simple glitter mixes but they are super effective for brightening up a manicure or making a plain polish look more interesting. I have been wearing this manicure all day today, and I’m loving it; it reminds me of birds’ eggs! So super cute 🙂

Lately I’ve really been getting into wearing glitters over plain colours (particularly pastels!) so here I’ve used one thick coat of Maybelline Alley Attitude over two coats of Ciaté Sugar Plum (told ya I’d use the Mini Mani Month up, didn’t I?!)

Hairy Legs London Rainbow Troll

I’ve spent the last few days attending interviews and generally wearing office-friendly nail polish, so today it was high time I injected some colour into my life! It came in the form of Hairy Legs London Rainbow Troll. This polish is normally not something I’d choose for myself, Sanita who owns Hairy Legs London added it in as an extra when Royal Mail played up with the postage of Tainted Love (so kind of her!) and to my surprise, I ended up loving it!

You may be old enough to remember the little troll dolls of the 90s, and apparently the 60s, 70s and 80s too (I never knew they existed before the 90s until I did a little reading!) I personally never collected them but around about 90% of my friends were OBSESSED with them! Rainbow Troll is apparently inspired by the Russ Good Luck Rainbow Troll. I’ve Googled it excessively and it still comes up with troll dolls so I *think* that is what they are, hehe! Please correct me if I’m wrong!

Midori Models Own Trio

Hello lovely ladies 🙂 today features a really funky trio by Models Own and Midori – they’ve teamed up to release three melon-scented green polishes all set for the party season! Midori is a melon flavoured liqueur – I confess I haven’t tried it but the mouth-watering scent of these polishes makes me want to! I adore the flavour of melon so I’ll have to give it a go. So today’s question is what would you use as your mixer with Midori?

These may seem unusual colours for winter (particularly the neon green!) but personally, I love a splash of colour during bleary winter, and for those of you who enjoy a night out this is a perfect way to spice up an otherwise winter-coloured outfit without going all-out!
