Hairy Legs London Tainted Love - Imagination In Colour

Hairy Legs London Tainted Love

Hey everyone! I’m trying to make some headway with my ever-growing UK indie stash, so here is a pretty polish that’s been left untried for a while. I’m not sure I chose the right underwear for it but it certainly made for an interesting manicure! It did look much nicer in person, honestly! 🙂

This is Tainted Love, from Hairy Legs London – a brand I fell in love with from the moment I read the name. So quirky and funky! But in all seriousness, there are some amazingly unique polishes in the shop – well worth a browse!

On a side note, I’m not a big fan of Moon Dust – it’s streaky and sheer, and to be honest I would only ever use it layered over another colour in future.

Tainted Love consists of big red holographic hearts, pink circles, smaller red and black glitters, black slices (bar glitter – this is so cool, it makes me think of leg hairs, hehe. Don’t wrinkle your nose, I bet you thought it too 😀 ) and finally blue iridescent glitter. This is the reason I wish I’d chosen a different base – the iridescent blue just doesn’t show up for the camera over a light colour. For a better look at these iridescent blue glitters, check out Nail Lacquer and Penny Pinching Polish. It also has a secret shimmer to it – again best seen on the other blogs.

Application:

The polish is a little bit thick, but that’s probably due to the huge amount of glitter packed in, which is always a bonus. It’s easy to apply and dries quickly. I doubt it would get to an opaque level easily, I think you’d need a lot of coats, but this is best enjoyed over different colours. It dries fairly shiny but I always pop on a topcoat for added shine. I did need to ‘fish’ for the holographic hearts a little but I think it looks better when you can place them yourself.

Tainted Love is truly gorgeous and, like most UK Indies, totally unique. You can buy it from the Hairy Legs London shop for £9 – it’s a limited edition polish as the pigment used has sadly been discontinued, so get it while you can! <3
