Hello! Last year I was sent the matte collection by Barry M. I have to be honest, at the time I wasn’t keen because I was very much into bright, wonderful colours. Lately I’ve been getting into neutrals and cremes a bit more, so I decided it was time to pull them out again. I’ve actually worn Vanilla at least 3 times before this, but each was while I was working and didn’t have any daylight to go out in let alone take photos in! Better late than never though…;) I’ve worn this a couple more times for interviews, as I feel like it’s a good neutral colour without being unflattering.

Yellow, Is It Me You’re Looking For? – Rainbow Series
Hey there everyone 🙂 today is week four of mine and Charlie‘s Rainbow Series! In this collaboration we show a different colour each week, and this week is yellow. I have to admit, yellow is a colour seriously lacking in my collection, mostly because it looks pretty terrible against my skin! The reason why the majority of my favourites that I’ve picked out are Barry M polishes, is because I have collected pretty much the entire line of Barry Ms and more, so naturally I have a few of their yellows!
I feel like I’m cheating a bit with these favourites, because in all honesty I only have seven yellows in total, and I’ve picked out 5 faves! Oh well. I do really quite like these ones, mostly on other people though 😉
Valentines Pretty Nails
Hey everyone, just a quick one for now as I have another post lined up for later, but wanted to day Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you! 🙂
I was wearing my Barry M Heather Silk yesterday, and thought, this would look amazing as a pastelly gradient! So I’ve put together as quick step-by-step guide to how to get this look. The heart was a last minute addition in recognition of the day, but I think it works quite well! It’s a really easy nail art look.
Barry M Heather Silk Effect
Hello! I have a really lovely new polish for you today. Unless you have been living under a rock (or don’t spend your life on Facebook like me…) you will have heard of the new Barry M Silk range. There are six colours in total, all designed to have a ‘silk-effect’ finish. I have to say, the look is actually pretty spot on – I’m impressed!
It’s been a little while since we’ve heard word from camp BM, so these are an exciting addition for Spring! All the six shades are pearly pastels, which I am ALL OVER, I’m really into pastels at the moment (I think it’s because I’m craving sun and happy springtime, less of the rain and flooding!)
I do have to apologise in advance for the shaky-looking application, I’ve been having real trouble with my joints for the last 2 weeks or so and last night my right elbow flared right up and I could barely hold the cap for the pain (but you know me… I’m dedicated to the essential cause of swatching!!) Now that the violins have stopped playing, let’s get to the pics!
As there was some sun today, yay, I took some shots in the sun, and others out of the sun, since the effect is quite different!
