Barry M Plumpy Gelly Topcoat

Hey everyone ๐Ÿ™‚ a couple of weeks back I showed you the new Barry M Speedy Collection and the Spring 2015 Barry M Gelly additions – at the same time they released the new Gelly Hi-Shine “Plumpy” Topcoat, which I was also sent to review.ย I thought I’d try it out for a little while to give a proper overview on it, hence why this review is a little late! ๐Ÿ™‚

As this is part of the Gelly range, it’s designed to have a ‘gel effect’ to look nice and glossy and slightly thick.

Barry M Gelly Collection Spring 2015 Swatches, Review & Comparisons

Hey there! So I promised (stupidly) to get this post up last night, but had an unexpected visit from my mum’s partner – which was lovely! – but I ran out of time to write this review unfortunately. So I hope you will accept my profuse apologies ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I have the new Barry Mย Spring 2015 Gelly Nail Paint collection to show you (thanks to the PR team at Barry M for sending me these to review ๐Ÿ™‚ ). I am loving that the Gelly line has taken off, so much so that we are still seeing releases nearly 3 years after the first Gellies came out. Happy happy. I loved them back then, and I am still loving them now! Barry M have brought out some lovely spring shades this time – only three, but all are great staple shades.

As always I have swatched a couple of similar-looking shades to compare with the colours, so that you can be sure you aren’t buying dupes!

As an aside – I muchly apologise for my fingers looking oily, I have been religiously applying cuticle oil the last few days, since I dried my skin out big time using soak-off gels. Sorry!

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Collection – Swatches, Review & Comparisons

Hello! I have a treat for you today ๐Ÿ™‚ it comes in the form of a new, 9-strong Barry M collection. Yep – nine – so this is going to be a looooong post! Barry M were kind enough to send me the full collection. As always, I’ve included comparisons with other Barry M nail paints, so grab a cuppa and settle in ๐Ÿ™‚

The new collection is the “Speedy Nail Paint Collection” for Spring 2015. So-called because the nail polishes are quick-dry colours. Rather aptly for spring, they are all pastel colours (or muted variations of brights!).

I do love themed packaging, and this collection doesn’t disappoint! The caps are Speedway flag-style checkerboard black and white – and incredibly eye-catching.

Barry M Twilight – Tesco Christmas Limited Edition 2014

Hey there lovely ladies and gents! Sorry I’ve been so sporadic lately – I signed up for Amazon Instant Video and now I’m marathoning my way through One Tree Hill because they are ALL on there! (Who’s with me?!). But I thought I’d better tear my eyes away for a little while to update you all with another Barry M.

For the last 3 years or so, Barry M have released Christmas limited edition Nail Paints exclusive to both Boots and Superdrug (you can see this year’s Boots ones here) – well this year, they have added Tesco to their repertoire. And since there aren’t all that many Tescos that stock Barry M, this one proves a little tricky to get hold of! I actually bought mine from somebody else who was reselling it.

Barry M A/W 2014 Silk Nail Paints – Swatches and Review

Today I have another few Barry M Nail Paints to show you all. Barry M have been super busy and have brought out a LOT of nail polishes in the last few weeks – today I am showing you the new Autumn Silks / Winter Silks which are: Forest Silk, Orchid Silk and Poppy Silk.ย The idea of the nail effect is to look like the material silk (which I think it does quite well!).

I have to confess I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first Silks (released earlier this year) which were all pastels – but these three are just gorgeous! I couldn’t decide which one to put first because I love them all a LOT! Because these all dry to a satin-matte finish, I decided to do one shot of them in their ‘natural state’, and one with topcoat (because they lookย amazing with topcoat!).
