Glitter Gradient Nail Art

Hello lovelies- first and foremost I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year! Sorry I’ve (again) been absent… I *hope* I have a good enough reason… Andy and I are moving into our first home together, in a different city *eek* so I’m super excited/busy/stressed/exhausted/thinking a million things a minute. This also means I’m being productive, which also means my blog takes a little bit of a sideline to priorities like sorting out insurance, packing, cancelling incorrectly taken direct debits (side story: Tesco screwed me over!). Anywho, since it has been a good 5 days since I posted, I thought I’d update you all! 🙂

Last year, I bought the Ciaté Mini Mani Month (nail polish advent calender) in a fit of indulgence, loved opening all the doors and looking at all the cute polishes but never used any of them. Not for the whole year. How bad is that! So I promised myself this year, if I bought it, I HAD to use them. And so far I’m doing pretty good – this mani alone consists of 6 Mini Mani Month offerings! Anyway, I bought the Mini Mani Month half price in their Christmas Day sale… for just £21! £24.95 delivered… that works out at just over £1 per bottle! It is still on sale on the Ciaté website so grab it while you can! <3

I was very much inspired by an image Jess from Fat Puss Polish posted on Facebook… Well okay, I lie, I stole her idea for my accent nail. It was just amazingly pretty and haunted my mind until I finally had the Mini Mani Month in my hands!

Zoya Miranda Pixie Dust

Hey everyone – hope you all had an amazing Christmas?! I’m so sorry I went briefly missing, I unfortunately came down with the most horrendous tonsillitis… I literally spent 3 days intermittently sleeping and waiting to fall asleep with high fever, difficulty breathing/swallowing etc. Thankfully I am much better now, and it didn’t ruin my Christmas day, I still managed to eat some mash and gravy! I’ve had it twice now this year so I’m hoping I’ve not become ‘prone’ to it.

I have a lovely festive polish to show you today… I’ve been wanting this polish ever since I saw the first swatches. I’m still after Zoya Stevie… and not just because I love the TV show! The Zoya Pixie Dusts are Zoya’s take on textured polish. In my opinion, Zoya really do it the best, they’re just hard to get hold of in the UK!

Maybelline Brocades Foil Flash

Hello chickas, sorry I’ve missed 2 days of blogmas! I promise I will do the full month, it might just have to run into January a little bit now. I do have a good reason for missing the last two days – I’ve been revising HARD for my driving theory test. I took it yesterday morning, and passed! 🙂 yay! And then I spent the rest of the day finishing off my Christmas shopping – before I knew it it was 10pm and my eyes wouldn’t stay open (probably because I only got 2.5 hrs sleep on Thursday night!). But I’m back today!

I’ve ogled these Maybelline Brocades for quite a while. I’ve now bought 3/4 – I haven’t bought Knitted Gold as it seems to be an almost-dupe of A England She Walks In Beauty, which I have. However, I was discussing this with Jemma of Puddleducks Nail Posts 🙂 and she said just what I was thinking… ‘let’s see how long it takes before you cave and buy it’! Am I really that predictable?! 😉

Midori Models Own Trio

Hello lovely ladies 🙂 today features a really funky trio by Models Own and Midori – they’ve teamed up to release three melon-scented green polishes all set for the party season! Midori is a melon flavoured liqueur – I confess I haven’t tried it but the mouth-watering scent of these polishes makes me want to! I adore the flavour of melon so I’ll have to give it a go. So today’s question is what would you use as your mixer with Midori?

These may seem unusual colours for winter (particularly the neon green!) but personally, I love a splash of colour during bleary winter, and for those of you who enjoy a night out this is a perfect way to spice up an otherwise winter-coloured outfit without going all-out!
