Here is Rose Quartz Glitter, another of the polishes from the new Barry M ‘Jewel Glitter’ Collection. This is probably my favourite, along with Ruby Glitter. What I love about this polish is that the holographic glitter forms a linear holo effect, which looks like a pink mermaid’s tail!
Rose Quartz Glitter is a mixture of salmon pink large hexagonal glitter with smaller hexagonal holographic glitter suspended in clear polish. My favourite coverage is at 2 coats – at 3 or more coats, the large hexagonal glitter tends to pile up making the layer on the nail quite thick. I really love how densely packed this polish is – at one coat it can still be used as a glitter topcoat but because of the ratio of glitter to clear polish, it is quite opaque in 3 coats. I also think the large pink glitter is an interesting combination – sometime it can look too chunky with smaller glitter but this works perfectly. It looks like the daughter of Revlon Sparkling and Topshop Adrenalin to me!
Application:
Rose Quartz Glitter is opaque at 3 coats. By opaque I mean that it’s so reflective, any visible nail is pretty much hidden by the reflection from the glitter. The polish dries relatively quickly – a little longer than some glitters due to the amount of clear polish but still totally dry at 2 coats within 20 mins. The best thing about the application of this polish was that it applied so evenly – I didn’t need to push the larger hexagonal glitter round to get it in position.
Rose Quartz Glitter is one of seven new glitters in the Barry M ‘Jewel Glitter’ range: Pink Sapphire Glitter, Gold Mine Glitter, Amethyst Glitter, Ruby Glitter, Yellow Topaz Glitter, Diamond Glitter and Rose Quartz Glitter. Which ones will you be getting?
