Here is another of the polishes from the new Barry M ‘Jewel Glitter’ Collection – this one is called Amethyst Glitter. Not sure about the name as Amethyst (the crystal) is actually purest, purplest purple, but I definitely LOVE this polish!
As far as I can see, Amethyst Glitter consists of turquoise, purple, gold, pink and black small hexagonal glitter suspended in a clear base. The glitter is so densely packed in this polish, I don’t think you can really use it as a topcoat – the photos show 2 coats! This polish is sooo pretty to look at. In person, it looks predominantly turquoise if you were to just glance at your nails, but obviously up close the multi-coloured nature of the glitter is more obvious.
Application:
As I mentioned above, this polish is opaque in 2 coats. Yep! You should be a little bit careful to apply the polish by dabbing more than stroking it across the nail, otherwise it can drag a little, but it’s not too much of a problem. The polish dries quickly due to the density of the glitter in relation to the amount of polish. It does dry slightly matte so if you’re not a fan of matte finishes then it may be aswell to add a topcoat. The polish dries slightly bumpy too, as with many glitters, which can be fixed by adding topcoat.
I absolutely love this, the more and more I look at it on my nails the more I love it! What do you think? Will you be buying Amethyst Glitter?
Amethyst Glitter is one of seven new glitters in the Barry M ‘Jewel Glitter’ range: Pink Sapphire Glitter, Rose Quartz Glitter, Gold Mine Glitter, Amethyst Glitter, Ruby Glitter, Yellow Topaz Glitter and Diamond Glitter. Which ones will you be getting?
