Christmas Book Haul & Chatter – Video

Hello everyone! It’s been a long while since I last posted a video (4 months, to be precise), so I thought I’d start off the new year as I mean to go on. Kind of.

I was very lucky to have been gifted quite a few books for Christmas, so I thought I’d make a quick (ha ha…) video showing you all what they are, and also to tell you about my reading goal for 2015 – which is adventurous to say the least!! My reason for going all bookish on you is because I probably read a maximum of 10 books last year, which I think is probably the least ever books read for me! I am a total bookworm and I fully intend to reinstate my hobby into everyday life.

Let me know what you think in the comments – did you get any books for Christmas? Do you wish you read more? For me it’s mostly time constraints – I feel like I have so many things I want to do and reading requires at least 30 mins commitment every time you sit down (or in my case, half a day!). Anyway, before I ramble so much you won’t watch the video, here it is.

Picture Polish Wisteria

Hello! Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great festive season, whatever you celebrate. I spent time with my mum and brother, my mum’s partner and his family, and my boyfriend’s family too – it’s always so good to spend time with the people you love! Anyway… I broke a nail and since mine have been quite battered and dry lately I cut them all back, so I’m going back into the photo archive so show you an oldie but a goodie!

You probably already know my undying love for Picture Polish, an independent Australian nail polish brand. I daren’t even think how much I’ve spent on their nail polish in the last year! You might also know that I’m not normally a big fan of cremes from indie brands – I tend to think that I’d rather spend the money on a unique nail polish, while cremes are ten a penny in most highstreet brands. But for some reason, this one really drew me in earlier in 2014, and I had to have it.

This is Picture Polish Wisteria – so-called after Wisteria Lane from Desperate Housewives (which I used to watch like an addict!).

OMG Nail Strips – Blue Leopard Nail Polish Strips

Hello everyone! It’s getting very close to Christmas! I hope whatever you celebrate, you are having a great time of year. I was kindly sent two sets of Nail Strips by OMG Nail Strips, who are a US brand committed to bringing beautiful, affordable nail designs to everybody in the simple form of the nail wrap/nail strip. I’ve reviewed a couple of nail wraps from other brands before now, and I have to say these are my favourite so far.

I firstly want to mention that OMG Nail Strips ship internationally, so this is accessible for those of us in the UK too :).

Picture Polish Lollipop

Hello lovely ladies. Today was the tragic┬áday of the Sydney siege, which I think has shaken the world and reminded us how precious every single seemingly ‘normal’ day really is. Of course, my thoughts are with all those affected by the incident.

On a happier note now, by random chance, today I am wearing Australian nail polish brand ‘Picture Polish’. They recently released a new set of nail polishes, and if you have been reading my blog for a while (or following my Instagram) you will know what a Picture Polish devotee I have become! I limited myself to three of the new collection, so today I have ‘Lollipop’ to show you. Which I LOVE, by the way!

Stellar New Year Collection – UK Indie Nail Polish

Hey there everyone! I have another exciting collection to show you from Stellar Nail Polish, a UK Indie Nail Polish brand created by my lovely friend Ruth. If you missed the Stellar Christmas Collection, you can see it here. This time, I’m reviewing the New Year collection, created specially for New Year’s celebrations. As you’d expect, these nail polishes are fun and bright and perfect for a party!

All of the nail polishes are named after Elvis Presley songs. I have to confess – I’ve never really listened to Elvis, but I always love a good namesake! čÖé
