Zoya Harper – Bubbly Collection

Hey there! I am still having problems with my ever-breaking nails so once again I have delved into the archive of swatches I’ve photographed but never blogged about.  (And honestly I’ve got a little bit tired of wearing dark colours all winter so fancied showing something summery! Heehee!) Enter Zoya Harper – from the ‘Bubbly’ half of the Tickled & Bubbly collection. This was a collection of jellies, all of which had a strong shimmer and iridescent glitter throughout.

I couldn’t afford to get any of them when they first released, but at some point in the early autumn I bought Harper and Binx (both of which I love!). The main issue with these nail polishes seems to be opacity, although luckily for Harper this isn’t a problem – I think it may be the only one!

Geometric Nail Art

One of my (blogging) New Year’s resolutions was to do at least 20 nail art posts this year – that’s just under 2 a month, and I have just realised that the end of January is fast approaching! I actually did this particular manicure about 2 weeks ago, but got distracted writing my 2014 Year in Review post and my  4 Year Blogiversary post – apologies! You will also notice that my nails are particularly short in this post – I had a low break over Christmas and decided to cut them all down and start over. Somehow that always feels so refreshing! (Anyone else?)

Anyway, I dug out some old nail vinyls that I haven’t used in a while, and decided to play around with them. I fancied something angular so out came the lightning shapes.

Nella Milano Review & Swatches

Hello! Recently I was kindly sent two new Nella Milano nail polishes to review. Nella Milano is a new brand, created in France.

On first impressions I fell in love with the bottle (if you’ve been following this blog for a few years you’ll know how much I love a rectangular/square bottle!) and the style of the brand – it’s very chic. My favourite part is the caps – the design is simple yet unique and very attractive!

Imagination In Colour is 4!

Good evening! Four years ago today, I set up this blog (way back then I was on Blogger – which is a story in itself…). At the time, I had started my January A levels (in 2011), and as a little treat to myself I had bought a handful of nail polishes and decided to start a new hobby in blogging. As such, Imagination in Colour was born!

Today we are having a look back at how my blogging style has changed and *whispers* improved since I began… a bit of an appraisal if you like – it promises to be a bit of a long one, so if you’re up for it, grab a cuppa! There’s a little bit of life stuff in there too, if you want some gossip. Not that I’m gossip worthy, but you know what I mean. I hope.

If you want a good giggle, you can have a look back at my first posts here, or by using the ‘Archives’ button in the right sidebar a bit further down.

… Er right, I’m back half an hour later – God I rambled a lot back then! I thought I was bad now!

Time for another giggle – here is my first ever ‘NOTD’ (nail of the day) post. Cringe!

Top 15 Nail Polishes of 2014 & Year Review

Hello! So now that 2014 is over – and I know I am late… – I wanted to make a brief (okay not brief – wishful thinking!) list of my favourite 15 nail polishes released in 2014. I would love it if any of you would like to tell me what your favourites of this year have been and whether I’ve missed anything spectacular in the comments! 🙂

Where I have photos and blogposts on the products I mention I will include a picture and a link to the post (so that this one doesn’t just turn into a huge wall of text!).

I always love ‘year in review’ or ‘best of’ – type posts, and this time I was particularly inspired by the way that one of my favourite bloggers, Allie of Brit Nails, did hers.
