Hi everyone, it’s that time of the week again where Charlie and I do our colour-themed post. Our Rainbow Series features a different colour each week, and this week it’s green! Green is undoubtedly unarguably one of my very favourite colours, one that I’m really drawn to so this time, choosing 10 top favourites was incredibly difficult! To be honest I’m not even sure if these are my final faves but they are definitely among my favourites… stop waffling Emma… basically, I just bloody love green. I have so many beautiful greens that I am going to consider this more of a showcase of some beautiful green polishes I own. Got there in the end…!
Glam Polish Day Dreamer
Hello everyone! Today I have a really unusual take on the circle glitter trend, although since buying this polish a month or so ago, I’ve seen more and more of them popping up! I’m still not certain on how much I like circle glitter, it’s definitely growing on me… this one really caught my eye though. It’s Australian Indie brand Glam Polish‘s ‘Day Dreamer’ – as it was relatively sunny today I felt that an Aussie polish was only appropriate!
Seventeen Long Island Gel Colour
Hello! Recently every brand and their dog in the UK has been coming out with ‘gel-effect’ polishes. I’m a fan. I have always loved the look of gel nails, but without wanting to commit to a single colour for more than a couple of days they aren’t for me. So these gel-effect nail varnishes are perfect! I’ve come to realise though that these seem to be very hit and miss. Barry M stormed it with their Gellys, but Models Own seem to have had a bit of a fail with the HyperGels, according to the blogosphere. Nails Inc also seem to have made some lovely coloured ones, but their Kensington Caviar gel-effect topcoat seems to have been one big flop. And I honestly haven’t heard much at all on the Rimmel Salon Pros, so now that Seventeen have brought out their take, how will they fare?
Picture Polish Gravity
So I’m finally at the last of the Picture Polish Limited Edition Collection… these polishes are just too beautiful for words. The funny thing is, is that this time 2 years ago I’d have hated them because I hated layering, and yet these are honestly some of the most amazing duochromes and multichromes I own! The collection consists of 5 layering polishes: Altered State, Aurora, Gravity, Illusionist and Solar Flare.
I so nearly DIDN’T get Solare Flare and Gravity because I wasn’t sure I liked them, but I am so glad I did. Amazing amazing amazing!
Picture Polish Solar Flare
Hello lovelies! I have a little confession to make… I think you probably knew as well as I did that I wasn’t going to be able to resist getting the last two from the Picture Polish Limited Edition Collection. Might as well get it out in the open – I am now the proud (and broke) owner of all 5. I didn’t even LIKE Solar Flare in online swatches, but I just couldn’t resist the temptation… le sigh, what is life etc etc. Last week I showed you Aurora, Illusionist and Altered State, and now I have Solar Flare, and Gravity… 🙂 No judging here please 😉
