Picture Polish Gravity - Imagination In Colour

Picture Polish Gravity

So I’m finally at the last of the Picture Polish Limited Edition Collection… these polishes are just too beautiful for words. The funny thing is, is that this time 2 years ago I’d have hated them because I hated layering, and yet these are honestly some of the most amazing duochromes and multichromes I own! The collection consists of 5 layering polishes: Altered State, Aurora, Gravity, Illusionist and Solar Flare.

I so nearly DIDN’T get Solare Flare and Gravity because I wasn’t sure I liked them, but I am so glad I did. Amazing amazing amazing!

Picture Polish Gravity (6)This is two coats of Gravity over one coat of Nails Inc New York Noir. Gravity is a sheer grey base with blue to pinky-lilac duochrome shift. It’s filled with those holographic flecks that I love and I managed to spy it in the sunshine today, and this polish goes crazy in sunlight! Too crazy for me to photograph. I’d imagine the others do the same as it was the holo that was causing the dazzling! This one is my partner Andy’s favourite because it puts him in mind of the universe, apparently! 🙂

Application:

On it’s own this would probably take 4-5 coats for full opacity but it’s a great layering polish. It totally transforms the colour underneath. I haven’t tried this over pale colours yet but based on what Illusionist looked like over paler colours I think this could look amazing! It applies nice and evenly so can be worn at one or two coats layered over another colour. It dries quickly, and to a lovely high shine. I’d always recommend using topcoat to make the most of the colour shift and the holo flecks though!

If you asked me to choose a favourite, it would still have to be Illusionist but beyond that I love all the polishes equally, and I really think these make a fantastic collection for layering, nail art and all sorts!

Picture Polish is an Australian brand so can be a little hard to get hold of in the UK; I bought my bottle of Gravity from Rainbow Connection UK, for £13.50. Rainbow Connection has free delivery on orders over ÂŁ20 too! It’s still in stock, but judging by last time, it won’t be for long!
