Imagination In Colour UK Nail Polish Blog
I’m making headway with my untried UK indies! I have a lorra love for my fellow UK indie girls, they’re all so lovely and all with lovely polishes! Here is one by Nail Lacquer UK, made by AJ, who also runs the blog Nail Lacquer UK. I just love both – she does incredible nail art on her blog and her polishes are just gorgeous!
The one I’m showing today isn’t in the shop any more, but she has plenty more pretty polishes worth a browse! I believe it was part of her Christmas collection, of which I have two 🙂 I think this polish could be worn all year-round though, it’s quite a versatile colour. Each polish by AJ comes with the cutest little charm around the neck, as shown in the first photo – I think it’s such a nice unique touch to the product :).
Here I have layered 1 coat of Christmas Night over 2 coats of Ciaté Pool Party. The polish is a sheer blue jelly base, filled with pink circle glitter and iridescent blue-green squares and iridescent orange-green hexes and some smaller iridescent glitter too. There is also a gorgeous pinky-red shimmer running through it, and some microglitter, and I also noticed when I held my phone light to it in the semi-darkness last night (the things nail polish addiction reduces us to…) that there seems to be some holo shimmer to it too. I could be wrong, I’m not sure, so I keep holding the light to it, hehe. I love this polish!
Application:
As I mentioned before, Christmas Night is a sheer jelly, so it would probably take 2-3 coats to get to full opacity. It’s a tiny bit thick but it still dries quickly and is fairly easy to apply so no qualms there 🙂 Finish is nice and shiny.
