Hello everyone! I have another polish from my one true indie love a nice indie brand called Hare! ‘Test Your Love!’ is from the Fall 2013 Coin Operation Collection. This collection has the coolest inspiration behind it – “the world of antique, coin-operated arcade and carnival games of yesteryear” in Nikole’s (the creator) own words. I just think that’s unbelievably cute, and quirky at the same time.

I am personally a massive fan of arcades and coin games, even the modern ones; I have a particular penchant for the coin pushers (I have a secret technique that ALWAYS gives around 80% return… yes I am that sad… yes I do count them… no I do not have a social life…)

Today is ‘orange’, if you couldn’t guess from the title! Now, I do love orange, but on my nails I’m not such a big fan as it can tend to clash with my pink-toned skin… so I have to choose them wisely! This time it was relatively easy to pick out a top 5 favourites as the oranges are a little lacking in volume in my collection. I love darker, shimmery oranges which take the emphasis off the clashyness because they’re more pretty and reflective.

Today I have a beautiful easy nail art look to show you, inspired by the pink-red themes of Valentine’s Day, ready for Friday 🙂 Andy and I aren’t hugely into celebrating it, it’s nice to make a little gesture like a card or a nice dinner together but I think we’re both advocates of showing love for each other every day.  So I don’t have strong feelings on it either way, but I know some love it, and some hate it! 🙂

…I do love any excuse for a seasonal manicure though! 😉 this time last year I did Heart French Tips, and this year I’ve done a cute pink gradient! I actually used a (clean!) washing up sponge for this look, because I didn’t have any makeup sponges, which was HARD! I would definitely NOT recommend using that, it has so many holes that the polish just sinks right in, and barely sponges!

Hey lovely ladies. A slightly late post from me tonight, but hey, it’s Friday! (My life is so wild…!). Maybelline are really starting to pick up on nail trends lately, firstly with the Color Show Street Artist Collection, and now with the Stripped Nudes Collection. I’m not personally a massive fan of nudes (I tend to be strongly of the colourful constitution!) but this polish caught my eye.

I don’t often see bronze glitter in mainstream nail varnishes so I had to try it. It’s a really nice rose-toned bronze too, not stark or harsh. I layered one coat over two coats of Ciaté Angel Wings.

As it’s the starting week, the theme is red, so I’ve picked out my top ten red nail polishes. (This was hard – it’s like asking a parent to choose their favourite child!). I really really love red polish but I don’t wear it all that often, but hopefully these posts will get me pulling out polishes I don’t normally use!
