China Glaze Electra Magenta

Hey girls ๐Ÿ™‚ sorry I’ve been away a while… as per usual it’s the work-blog-life balance that I’ve been treading carefully for a while that went off course, so I had to take a little break! Because of this I actually missed the A-Z Series posting day, so I’m catching up tonight. This one is a polish beginning with ‘E’. I’m finding that each week I seem to find loads of polishes beginning with the next week’s letter, but as soon as the next week comes around I can’t find any beginning with that letter! I think I might be going a bit loopy! Oh and by the way… I shortened my nails a LOT this weekend so there will be some pictures from pre-cull… but these ones are shorties ๐Ÿ™‚

I chose China Glaze Electra Magenta, which is from the Tronica Collection circa 2011! I still find this collection exciting because I’d just started blogging, and only really started finding out about China Glaze and OPI and all the US salon brands, and I remember the excitement of finding an entire world of nail polish!

We Also Wear Pink On Fridays – Rainbow Series

Hey everyone! I am being a very very bad blogger at the moment – I’ve tried to get a routine going for work and blog but some nights things get in the way/I forget/I’m too tired etc lol. Organisation will happen!! So this is why my post is late again tonight. I am so late that Charlie has already published her part of the Rainbow Series which you can check out here.

This week is pink. Pink takes up a huge portion of my collection – I tend to love them in the bottle but not so much on the nail. I mean I love them, but I also tend not to wear them much…? I’m not really sure but I definitely neglect them! So here are some of my top faves ๐Ÿ™‚

China Glaze High Def

Hello! Today I have a holographic polish to show you all ๐Ÿ™‚ you probably know by now that I’m not mad on holos, at least not as much as many girls I know, but I do like a nice subtle holo. This one fits the bill perfectly. High Def is quite an oldie – it’s from the Tronica collection, which was out in early 2011… it was a lovely collection *we think* inspired by Tron, which came out around that time. This excites me a lot because I began my blog in January of 2011 and I still remember being wowed by these in the early days ๐Ÿ™‚ I didn’t ever buy any of the Tronica collection because at the time I didn’t really realise that I could actually buy polishes from abroad, and I’d only recently stumbled upon the world of blogging and nail polish in general, so I just admired from afar. I actually picked up High Def in a Facebook nail polish sale group, at a very reasonable price. These are bordering on hard to find (HTF) now!

You’ll Be Green with Envy – Rainbow Series

Hi everyone, it’s that time of the week again where Charlie and I do our colour-themed post. Our Rainbow Series features a different colour each week, and this week it’s green! Green is undoubtedly unarguably one of my very favourite colours, one that I’m really drawn to so this time, choosing 10 top favourites was incredibly difficult! To be honest I’m not even sure if these are my final faves but they are definitely among my favourites… stop waffling Emma… basically, I just bloody love green. I have so many beautiful greens that I am going to consider this more of a showcase of some beautiful green polishes I own. Got there in the end…!

You’ve Been Tango’d! – Rainbow Series With Pocket Money Polishes

Hey everyone! Here is the second installment ofย the Rainbow Series. It’s a collaboration between myself and Charlie ofย Pocket Money Polishes. Each week we each post a colour-themed blogpost on both our blogs, so make sure you check hers out too!

Today is ‘orange’, if you couldn’t guess from the title! Now, I do love orange, but on my nails I’m not such a big fan as it can tend to clash with my pink-toned skin… so I have to choose them wisely! This time it was relatively easy to pick out a top 5 favourites as the oranges are a little lacking in volume in my collection. I love darker, shimmery oranges which take the emphasis off the clashyness because they’re more pretty and reflective.
