Hello! Here is another polish from the Barry M Aquarium Collection – this is called Treasure Chest. I have a theory that this is a close match for OPI Gaining Mole-Mentum, which has recently been released as part of the Muppets Most Wanted collection – Treasure Chest is just missing the silxver shards. Brands slowly seem to be picking up on the metallic shards trend – there were a few around at Christmas; Bourjois Vampire Vanity was a big one which was a gold shard topcoat. And now there’s OPI, Barry M, L’Oreal and more jumping on the bandwagon – albeit slower than some other trends. But I think this might be a thing this summer!

Hello everyone! I am unbelievably excited to be showing you the Barry M Aquarium Collection this week. As I’ve mentioned before, we’ve been pinching the pennies for a little while, so things like nail polish have taken a slightly inferior seat recently compared to things like food and rent! However now I’m working and had my first payslip I’ve been able to treat myself to the new collection, which I’ve been lusting after since the moment I saw they were coming out!!
The Aquarium Collection has been the top of my list (you know how I feel about my beloved Barry M!) because while duochromes have been ‘in’ for a good 2 years, brands seem to keep releasing the same colours – however I spotted at least two which look totally unique to me in this collection! So on Friday I visited Boots and Superdrug… because I felt like if I bought 12 polishes in one go I’d be exposed for the true addict I am…! So I got 6 from each (which still raised two sets of eyebrows… but I needed them!!) as they had virtually the same offer on (Boots buy one get one half price and Superdrug two for £6 on all £3.99 Barry M Nail Paints).
Barry M Papaya Gelly
Hey everyone!! 🙂 Today have a really springy polish to show you. When I first got this, I wasn’t very keen – I was dead set in my mind that oranges weren’t for me. But I pulled this out the other day, and thought actually, I really love this! I’ve found a few of my tastes in nail polish have changed over the years, for example I used to adore a nice shimmery dark blue, but I think I went overboard with them and now I’m not keen at all! And pinks have definitely taken a back seat, where I used to love them. Mint greens I used to think would look terrible on me but now I love them! What colours for you have changed in your estimations?
Papaya was released around about this time last year, as part of the Spring Gelly collection along with Dragon Fruit, Green Berry and Lychee. I’m dying to get my hands on the 2014 Spring Gellys but I do still think that the 2013 collection held four perfect Spring staples.
Barry M Super Nova – Magnetic Multi Sparkle
Hello! You may remember in late 2011 and 2012 magnetic polishes really came into trend and a lot of brands leapt on the magnetic train. To be honest at the time I wasn’t crazy for magnetics and found them a bit of a faff, but I did always love the second space-themed magnetic collection released by Barry M. I was looking back through my old posts and realised I never posted the fifth of the collection: Super Nova (also known as Magnetic Multi Sparkle as labelled). I tried it on today and I have to say I am very tempted to pull out all my old magnetics again as I really enjoyed it this time round!

You know what I said yesterday about getting later and later? Well… whoops! Here I am at midnight because I’ve been having a very lazy Friday night and I wasn’t honestly sure what to post.
