Hare Polish The Blooming Desert - Imagination In Colour

Hare Polish The Blooming Desert

Hello lovely ladies!! Today I have a bit of a stunner to show you.  It is a limited edition polish for Llarowe’s ‘A Box Indie-d’ for May 2014. The theme for the box was ‘flowers – the deadly and beautiful’ 🙂 As you all probably know by now, I am a bit of a  fangirl when it comes to Hare Polish, so it felt inevitable that I would love this polish, but when I saw the pink & orange colour combo I fell for it HARD – it’s my favourite colour combination at the moment, it’s clashy but in the best way!

I actually missed out on the box, as I slept through the restock, and at the time it was all sold out. So I took to begging on the Facebook sale pages for it because if there was ever a polish I *neeeeeded* it was this one! One lovely lady answered my plea and I was lucky enough to swap it for another indie I wasn’t so keen on – yay!

Hare Polish The Blooming Desert

Hare Polish The Blooming DesertYeah… wow, right?! This is a stunning pink jelly with golden shimmer, packed with satin white glitter in hexagons and squares of various sizes, as well as satin orange circles, and I’m certain I can see iridescent glitters in there too, but they don’t pick up on the camera. The white glitters appear pink as the layers build up and the base colour tints them.. I can’t tell you how much I love this eclectic mix. Apparently it’s inspired by the cactus flowers.

Application:

At first the formula seemed really thin and easy to work with, but it’s one of those ones where it seems to get thicker the more coats you use. In future I would probably layer this over a light pink to avoid the thickness issue. However the glitter is really dense and spreads evenly across the nail. The polish dries in average time – I would use a quick-dry topcoat for this to make it dry more quickly. The finish is slightly dull too, but it’s not as bumpy as I would expect with such a glitter-dense polish.

Overall I am thoroughly in love with this stunning polish and I will be wearing it a LOT this summer!

At the time of writing, you can still purchase this polish as part of the ‘May A Box Indie-d’ – however as you can’t purchase it separately, it will cost you $50, as well as international postage. It does contain four other indie polishes and a cuticle oil, so the box is a bargain really, but I wouldn’t personally buy it if I didn’t like the others.

Let me know what you think of this polish – I have a feeling it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I know a lot of people in the blogosphere are in love with it like me! 🙂
