Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a good week. I am getting so behind with posts it’s unreal, lol. Barry M sent me a brand new Gelly addition to review (along with the new Summer Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paints) – yup, only one Summer Gelly this time! It’s a pretty one though π
In case you have somehow missed the Gelly range (where have you been? Under a rock?! π ) they are ‘gel-effect’ nail paints, which dry super glossy and to a gel-style finish.
Sugar Plum Gelly is a lovely purple-toned pink. It’s perfectly plasticky and I really love it! It’s very summery.
Application:Β This dries fairly quickly to a highly glossy finish. It takes 2 coats for full opacity and applies like a dream. No issues at all π
For your interest, this nail polish still has the normal thin Barry M brush (as opposed to the new, flat brush).
Left to right:Β Barry M Sugar Plum Gelly, Barry M Rhossili Matte, Sugar Plum Gelly, Barry M Berry Ice Cream.Β
As you can see, none of these are dupes. Amongst the existing Gelly nail paints, there are no pinks that are close to Sugar Plum, as it has lilac-blue tones, where the other pink Gellys are all rather ‘pure’ pinks.
As per usual, the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints retail for Β£3.99 in Boots and Superdrug, and barrym.com π
Let me know what you think of Sugar Plum Gelly in the comments! π
