Picture Polish Altered State

Hello! So you may have noticed… I’m on a bit of a Picture Polish kick!! It started with Aurora, and yesterday Illusionist, and now this one! 😛 These are all from the Limited Edition collection which is very, very limited!! I only bought three of the five, which I’m now regretting!

Of the three I bought, this one has the most subtle duochrome effect. But it’s still super pretty! I struggled a little to get the shift in the photos because it was pretty miserable today, grey and horrible! I did manage to get a few shots of it though :).

Picture Polish Illusionist

Hey lovelies! Yesterday I showed you Picture Polish Aurora, from the Limited Edition collection. Well today, I have another equally gorgeous nail varnish for you! I think (don’t hate me) I might… possibly… prefer this one!

This one also sold out very quickly on Rainbow Connection, within an hour or two, I believe! Not that I was there at that time – I bought mine the second they were available!!

I have done a few more photos than usual today, but I wanted to make sure I captured all the colour shifts.

Picture Polish Aurora

Hey everyone! On Thursday, the lovely Annette of Rainbow Connection (and Sally of Sally Magpies) put up the new Picture Polish Limited Edition collection on sale – it’s been quite a hyped up collection as they are limited in numbers, with Aurora particularly being super limited! From what I read from Picture Polish, only 800 have ever been made so to be able to get them in the UK and avoid the worldwide manic restocks is a blessing! Along with a few other girls, I was checking Facebook and RC every 5 minutes that morning until the polishes were up! They sold out pretty quickly.

I do think that this one is justified in being highly sought after – it’s super duper gorgeous, SUPER gorgeous… duochrome heaven!! I have a slightly similar glitter topper by Ozotic (same company as Picture Polish) called ‘528’ which is essentially the glitter version of Aurora… which I love… so of course I love this!!

Fat Puss Polish Queen

Today I have another UK Indie polish to show you. Fat Puss Polish is run by Jess (@claws4paws). It’s one of my favourite UK Indie brands as all of her polishes are inspired by cats. And I LOVE kitty cats (and dogs too!). Anything animal-themed has a special place in my heart, I’m not quite sure why (marketers everywhere would love me) but anything animal-themed just jumps straight onto my wishlist.

This polish completely blew me away when I first saw it. I closed the tab and convinced myself I didn’t need it. Less than a day later I was back, ogling. Don’t try and tell me you haven’t done this too! I closed the tab. This pattern continued until I just couldn’t take it any more and I bought it umm… bought it… alone. (Okay okay I may have bought a couple more, shh!).

Topshop Hypnotic

Day 8 of the 30 Days of Untrieds Challenge: metallic. To be honest I’m not really sure what qualifies as metallic as I’ve always referred to ‘metallic’ (in terms of car paint… lol) polishes as ‘shimmers’. So I decided that this one might just do for a metallic mani, but I don’t really know! These photos, like those of Topshop Eclipse, were taken on holiday a few weeks ago, hence the length discrepancy. Hypnotic is exactly that – my nails were pretty mesmerising!
