Fat Puss Polish Queen - Imagination In Colour

Fat Puss Polish Queen

Today I have another UK Indie polish to show you. Fat Puss Polish is run by Jess (@claws4paws). It’s one of my favourite UK Indie brands as all of her polishes are inspired by cats. And I LOVE kitty cats (and dogs too!). Anything animal-themed has a special place in my heart, I’m not quite sure why (marketers everywhere would love me) but anything animal-themed just jumps straight onto my wishlist.

This polish completely blew me away when I first saw it. I closed the tab and convinced myself I didn’t need it. Less than a day later I was back, ogling. Don’t try and tell me you haven’t done this too! I closed the tab. This pattern continued until I just couldn’t take it any more and I bought it umm… bought it… alone. (Okay okay I may have bought a couple more, shh!).

I’m going to try to describe it: Queen has an orangey-golden base with duochrome green/peach shimmer. Most of the time it flashes green but sometimes at angles you catch this gorgeous peachy pink shine. It’s filled with orange glitter, with random bits of green, pink, blue and purple glitters (I think) dotted about. So pretty. I’m not even really sure it goes with my skin tone but I DON’T CARE. It’s too amazing to care. I LOVE IT!

Application:

Queen takes 3-4 coats to be totally opaque, which is why I layered it over a neutral base colour to take the edge off the VNL. This makes it an excellent polish for gradients and layering though. It dries pretty quickly, applies really smoothly and evenly and has no streaking or dragging issues whatsoever.

I am in <3 with this polish, I could not stop looking at my nails the whole time I wore it! Keep an eye out on the Fat Puss Polish etsy store in case Jess adds some more in the future. Her polishes are always amazing!
