Revlon Radiant - Imagination In Colour

Revlon Radiant

Day 5 of the 30 Days of Untrieds Challenge and I’ve finally caught back up! Day 5 is blue, so here I have a pretty blue glitter which has been around for a long time in the US, a lesser amount of time in the UK: it initially came out a few months back with the 80th Anniversary line but was mostly stocked only in large Boots stores, but it’s now hitting Superdrug shelves and some of the smaller Boots shops too.

Revlon Radiant Blue Mosaic nail polish enamel glitter opi gone gonzo dupe blue glitter silver green hexagonal multi sizes topcoat review UK blog close up First of all – why does the writing on Revlon nail polish ALWAYS fade off? I don’t mind as the name is on the lid which doesn’t fade but it annoys the OCD part of me that likes all the words to be there! Anyway. I was expecting Radiant to be quite a sparse, subtle glitter like its pink counterpart, Revlon Sparkling, but it actually builds up to quite a dense, even finish. There seems to be more of the small hexagonal glitter in Radiant. It also contains three different colours of large hexagonal glitter – cyan blue, green and silver. Without the blue and green large hex glitters this would be a perfect dupe for OPI Gone Gonzo! which I wanted for a very long time, but Radiant fills the gap nicely.

Application:

The polish applied nicely and evenly, giving quite an even finish without having to push the glitter around too much. I did notice that the larger hexagonal glitter was a little harder to manipulate out of the bottle and there wasn’t as much of the large glitter as the little glitter but as the coats build up this isn’t really a problem. The polish dries quickly as with most glitters, and at 3-4 coats is largely opaque. It is also VERY shiny at 3-4 coats which is what we want in a glitter!

What do you think of Radiant? Would you wear it as a glitzy topcoat or as a full on glittery manicure?
