Today I have another UK Indie Polish (expect more of these, I’m a woman on a mission!) to show you. I told you I was determined to get through them! I do have rather a large collection though so indie posts will be interspersed with branded nail polish posts.
This brand is by my lovely friend Jemma, with whom I have essay-long conversations on Facebook! It’s called Chubby Owl Polish – just the cutest name ever – and with the most adorable little logo. The nail polish I’m showing you today unfortunately isn’t on sale any more but Jemma has loads of pretty colourful polishes in the shop on a regular basis, so it’s always worth a look.
**UPDATE** Jemma will be popping Midnight Owls in the shop at the end of this week for anyone who fancies it! 😀 x
Midnight Owls is a beautiful grey jellyish base with blue shimmer, filled with small gold holographic hexes, larger pale gold hexes and holographic circles. It’s one of the most work-appropriate glitters I own, it’s beautiful but in a really subtle, understated way.
Application:
The photos show 2 coats at full opacity. You have to be a tiny bit careful not to go over the same place too many times as it can start to drag (the polish dries very quickly) but other than that no application issues. The polish dries to a nice shine however I always add a topcoat to make the most of a nail polish!
I really really love this polish – lately there have been murmurs among bloggers that they’re getting bored of big glitter shapes from indies so here is the perfect remedy! I love it.
Chubby Owl Polishes retail at £4.99 each which is a bargain – they tend to go quite quickly so snap them up quick! You can also follow Jemma on Instagram for regular updates on Chubby Owl Polish 🙂
