Butter London Swinger

Hello all, another Butter London today! I got this one off eBay – I’m pretty sure it’s US-exclusive so to all you UK ladies it’s best to search on eBay.com or wait for it to pop up on the UK site, or maybe even Amazon! It cost me £9 including delivery which I just could not resist!

Swinger is the most gorgeous grass green glitter I’ve seen – it comes across a little yellow-toned in the photos but in person it is purest lime green!

Butter London Shambolic

Today I’m at home watching the beautiful snow outside my window 🙂 I should technically be at work – I made a pretty gallant attempt at cycling in but it got to the point where I couldn’t see because the snow was in my eyes and one of my eyebrows had smudged right down to my eyelid so I decided it was definitely too dangerous to go into work (for me and the customers – no-one needs to see that! Haha)

I saw Butter London Shambolic first on Scrangie’s blog, but didn’t really feel the need for it until I saw this Flickr photo – I fell in love. The trouble then was that you can’t actually buy Shambolic on it’s own, it’s only available as part of the Butter London Holiday gift set (which was what I ended up buying from lookfantastic.com for just £23!) or as part of a Holiday Lips & Tips gift set. Anyway, it was part of the Butter London Holiday 2012 Collection – a set of 4 glitters and 2 shimmers.

Models Own Southern Lights

Hi everyone! I am SO excited to be back blogging! I feel it’s only fair to let you know what stopped me from blogging between November 24th and today. First of all, my laptop broke so there was physically no way for me to edit my photos – I borrowed Andy’s iPad for the month of December but couldn’t work out how to edit photos on it. This was resolved in January, when I bought a brand spanking new Acer laptop, which should have been the end of my problems. Next, we discovered there was a connection issue with my laptop, largely due to it only having out-of-date network drivers, so that took a good few days to fix. I then installed the latest update for WordPress, and something happened to my entire blog where the permalinks were all wrong and I couldn’t upload or edit any of my posts, which again would have been easily fixed but for the fact that when I changed my hosting package over, they put me on a new server but never sent across the login details so we couldn’t access my cPanel. Anyway, the whole thing took a good 2 weeks to fix but thanks to the hard work of Andy, Andy’s business partner and the people at 600host, Imagination in Colour is finally fixed!! I have so many images for so many blogposts it’s unreal… Look forward to lots of blogposts over the next few weeks! I’ve also added a little favicon (the flower you can see at the left of the tab for my page) for my site as well and will be working on a new logo!

Also a quick mention for my giveaway on Facebook – it was my 2 year bloggiversary on 13th January so in light of my blog’s problems I set up a giveaway on Facebook. All you have to do to enter is SHARE this photo! The prizes are: Fearne Perfectly Polished gift set, Barry M Aqua Glitter, GOSH Holographic Hero and Barry M Amethyst. The winner will be announced on Sunday 27th January.

Today I have Models Own Southern Lights to show you, released in October 2012 as part of the Models Own Wonderland Collection. All of the polishes are so pretty but I only chose two, you’ll have to wait for another post to find out which one 😉

Rio Marble Nail Art Polish: London Collection

Hello everyone! I know, I know… it’s been forever since I last posted on here, which truly makes me so sad because I love my blog so much… I just seem to have so little free time at the moment; if I’m not at work I’m either sleeping or seeing my Andy and the result is no time to blog or indeed paint my nails! I really want to get back into the habit of doing regular blog posts though so bear with me, I have some ideas to help me manage my time more effectively!

Rio Beauty were kind enough to send me a second kit to review, following my review of the Rio Beauty Lace Nail Foils. I of course JUMPED at the chance, I loved the Lace Nail Foils so I was very excited to try their water marbling kit. To be totally honest with you, I’ve never even attempted a water marble manicure before this kit, purely because I just knew I would make a mess of it!

And of course this makes the perfect second kit to feature in my Christmas Gift Guide 2012!

Rio Lace Nail Foils

About two weeks ago (too long ago – this is my number one frustration about working in a bar/restaurant: no nail polish allowed, argh!) I was sent a Rio Lace Nail Foils kit to review. I have long admired the standard Nail Foils Kit from Rio, but always dismissed it as something that would be too fiddly for me. How wrong I was! I was excited by this opportunity as you all know I am a dedicated fan of my Rio Nail Art Pens and I also use the Rio Nail Studio for painting my nails every time!

This will be the first of (hopefully) many reviews on my blog for my Christmas Gift Guide 2012, which I will be running from now until Christmas!
