Butter London Swinger - Imagination In Colour

Butter London Swinger

Hello all, another Butter London today! I got this one off eBay – I’m pretty sure it’s US-exclusive so to all you UK ladies it’s best to search on eBay.com or wait for it to pop up on the UK site, or maybe even Amazon! It cost me £9 including delivery which I just could not resist!

Swinger is the most gorgeous grass green glitter I’ve seen – it comes across a little yellow-toned in the photos but in person it is purest lime green!

So, Swinger is basically a limey-yellow-green base  containing gold and green microglitter, with larger grass-green hexagonal glitter pieces suspended throughout. When I first laid eyes on the bottle I just about died, it is that stunning in person. I walked by some fresh green grass and my nails matched it almost perfectly. This makes me think of cocktails and clubs and all sorts… I can see where the name came from! I absolutely love it. Not the most work-appropriate but stunning nevertheless!

Application:

The polish applied beautifully, and was opaque at 2 coats. It dried to a matte gritty glittery finish, which was a little on the dull side, but as usual it livened up a treat with topcoat. It dried quickly too, and didn’t have any dragging problems. I really cannot find fault with the polish itself, it’s perfect! It looks amazing under artificial light and in the sun, if we ever get any here in the UK.

Again, like Shambolic, I find this well worth £9, let alone the £12 rrp. I think I’m starting to develop an unhealthy taste for expensive polishes – I’ve bought 5 Butter Londons, 7 Illamasquas and 3 China Glazes already this month, which has pretty much broken the bank!

What do you think of Swinger? Do you love the name or hate it? Are you a fan of green polish? Look out for more Butter Londons coming soon!
