Nail Polish

It’s taken me a little while to get these swatches of the new Barry M Gelly Nail Paints up; unfortunately a bank holiday weekend at the pub means I’ve been working from 11am til around midnight most days since I received them which has left barely any time to eat and sleep let alone test out new polishes! But I’m on my day off now so I’m getting on top of it! 😛

Barry M will be releasing 5 new Gelly Nail Paints on June 5th in Superdrug, and June 12th in Boots. The new shades are: Mango, Blue Grape, Key Lime, Passion Fruit and Guava. Today I have Mango to show you, a bright pumpkin orange shade. My favourite thing about this polish is that it’s the first true orange nail polish I own that is actually completely opaque… yes, really!

I told you once the indie floodgates had opened I’d have no chance at resisting them any more… Thanks a lot Happy Hands Metal Heart! 😛 So I was browsing on Llarowe through the Hare Polish polishes (because they are all GORGEOUS!) and Medusa Luminosa was in stock, and so it accidentally fell into my shopping cart and I accidentally entered my card details and accidentally ordered it… I just don’t know how it happened! 🙂

Medusa Luminosa is actually a type of Jellyfish… I’m so happy about this because ocean creatures always mesmerize me (even if Jellyfish scare the hell out of me!) I just think they’re so beautiful and I feel like this polish really captures the luminous iridescent appearance of the Medusa Luminosa.

Hello everyone 🙂 I’m back again with a lovely spring pink creme… twit twoo, I am loving this colour! It’s got that perfect ‘plastic-pink’ appearance to it – love it! It falls under my ‘blind spot’ category where in the bottle I really wouldn’t look twice in the shop but I have been very lucky to be given the chance to try it for review, along with Gold Rush and one other, more on that soon ;). I was perusing Superdrug at the beginning of this month and spotted this very pretty glitter polish hiding away in the 2true stand… of course I had to buy it! It’s so pretty 🙂 Having been absolutely gutted that I couldn’t find Shade 2 (image at Northern Nails UK) anywhere last Winter, I didn’t want to miss this one which is slightly more pink.

The polish is quite sheer in terms of the base colour so I decided to layer it over Ciaté Pocket Money, which was free in this month’s Marie Claire. I LOVE this combination, it definitely livens up the slightly plain Pocket Money and the two colours really complement each other.

Yesterday I showed you the pretty Marshmallow Confetti Nail Effects from Barry M’s Summer releases, and today I have for you ‘Liquorice’ (my personal favourite so far…!). There are 5 new Confetti Nail Effects being released in total: Marshmallow, Liquorice, Dolly Mixture, Bubblegum and Sour Apple. Is anyone else loving the cute sweetie names? 🙂 Perhaps they should have been called ‘Confectionary Nail Effects’ ;).

As I mentioned yesterday, these are essentially the same as Nails Inc Feathers, but in different colours and WAY more affordable at £3.99 each. They will be released instore on June 5th in Superdrug, and June 12th in Boots.
