China Glaze Electra Magenta

Hey girls 🙂 sorry I’ve been away a while… as per usual it’s the work-blog-life balance that I’ve been treading carefully for a while that went off course, so I had to take a little break! Because of this I actually missed the A-Z Series posting day, so I’m catching up tonight. This one is a polish beginning with ‘E’. I’m finding that each week I seem to find loads of polishes beginning with the next week’s letter, but as soon as the next week comes around I can’t find any beginning with that letter! I think I might be going a bit loopy! Oh and by the way… I shortened my nails a LOT this weekend so there will be some pictures from pre-cull… but these ones are shorties 🙂

I chose China Glaze Electra Magenta, which is from the Tronica Collection circa 2011! I still find this collection exciting because I’d just started blogging, and only really started finding out about China Glaze and OPI and all the US salon brands, and I remember the excitement of finding an entire world of nail polish!

HARE Polish Own Your Opulence

Hey lovelies 🙂 here’s a polish that I’ve always loved but never worn (I’m not really sure how that works but there we go!) I’ve always been searching for the ‘perfect underwear’ to show off all the different colours of glitter within. I think I may have found it… I am really happy with this manicure 🙂

Own Your Opulence is from the Hare Polish Last Queen of France, which was brought out in Spring 2013 (I realise I am a year late to the party! :P) I did buy most of this collection on release… and I have to confess I still have two untrieds from it, eek!

Original Sugar 3D Nail Embellishments

Hey everyone! Sorry for my impromptu few days off, hope you still love me 🙂 I was recently sent some funky nail embellishments by Original Sugar, which I’ll be showing you today. I don’t normally use any nail gems, embellishments or even rhinestones but I thought these looked pretty unusual so I said a big fat yes to trying them out 🙂

I keep seeing people wearing cute nail additions on instagram so it’s something that I’ve been thinking about for a while, but hadn’t really taken the plunge and bought any yet!

Different Dimension Doppelganger

Hey all! Sorry I’ve been a bit absent this week… I decided I needed a bit of a break from blogging for a few days 🙂 hope you don’t mind 😀 I’m back with this week’s ‘D’-named nail polish for the A-Z Series. It’s Different Dimension Doppelganger (see I even used one with three D’s!). This is a long-loved favourite of mine – it’s the perfect subtle glitter and it’s super pretty. Unfortunately it’s not on sale any more so you’re best looking out for this on blog sales or Facebook sale groups.

I’ve worn this a few times before but have been so busy before I haven’t been able to take photos. I really love it, hope you do too!

Barry M Gelly Summer 2014 Collection Review, Swatches & Comparisons

Hello everyone! I am beyond excited to be bringing you this post today… it’s taken a LOT of prep so I hope you enjoy it :D. Barry M are releasing a brand new Summer 2014 collection of their Gelly Hi-Shine range, which consists of 7 new shades. If you haven’t heard of the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints yet, they are a gel-effect polish which have in general had great formulas and longevity from past collections. I am a massive fan of the Gelly range myself – being the slight addict that I am I have them all…!

As a pre-warning, this post will definitely be a long one as I’ve done some comparisons too, by popular request, so make sure you grab a cuppa!! 🙂

This new line-up is an interesting one – it feels half summery, and the other half are kind of all-year-round polishes. They don’t seem to really ‘go together’ as a collection but I am all for interesting colours! I am well-known for wearing my neons in the middle of the Christmas seasons so I’ll say no more! 😀
