Hey everyone! I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a fan of relaxing and watching YouTuber vlogs and other videos after work with a cuppa. On of my all-time favourite YouTubers has always been Tanya Burr, and of course when she released her #TanyaBurrLipsandNails collaboration with Eye Candy, being the avid nail polish collector I am, I had to try at least one! When they finally made their way to my local Superdrug (Bournemouth Superdrug were a week late from the launch…!), I ended up choosing a very ‘me’ shade; Little Duck.
Little Duck – the name alone is super cute – is a soft grey-toned duck egg green. I love this colour because it’s pretty much the exact colour of my bedroom at my mum’s house, so it’s amongst my very favourite colours… ever! It’s a lovely creme finish 🙂
Application:
The first coat was very streaky, and I did think this could be a problem polish. However, the second coat totally evened it all out. It’s totally opaque at 2 coats, and self-levels too. It dries quickly to a lovely glossy finish, and I found it easy to apply despite the streaky first coat. It’s a teeny bit thick but I didn’t find that to be a problem.
I really love this colour as a slightly alternative take on pastel mint green for Spring, and I think it’s fairly unusual in the UK highstreet to find this type of muted mint green. I’m a big fan! I’m definitely going to be going back to have a look at some more of these polishes, and more than likely at the lipglosses too!
You can buy the Tanya Burr for Eye Candy nail polishes for £5.99 in some Superdrugs, and online at FeelUnique.com where they have free international delivery on all orders over £10. I did initially think that the price was a little steep, however the bottle is a good size at 12ml… OPI is 15ml for £11.50, to give you some perspective.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these, especially if you’re a Tanya fan too! 🙂
x
