OPI Polka.com (+ UK dupe!)

Hello lovelies, today I have for you the very pretty Polka.com from OPI’s Euro Centrale collection. I love this glitter a lot – the combination of colours is just perfect and it looks super pretty over creme colours.

I am aware that my photos in this post aren’t that great in terms of quality, I couldn’t get the camera to pick up the colours of the glitter in natural light so had to play around with low-lighting but as I don’t have a tripod I had to suffice with my shaky hand, hence why some of the photos are a touch blurry šŸ™ sorry!

Yellow Flowers Nail Art

Here is day 3 of the 30 Days of Untrieds Challenge (late, still! … I am trying to get back on track!) and day 3 is yellow! Yellow is not a colour I usually wear as it tends to look a little insipid on my skin tone but I really like this shade of yellow, and kept it on for 2 days in the end. It’s kind of an egg-yolky colour, which is my favourite yellow shade.

Purple Dotted Nail Art

Little bit of simple nail art for you today! I will start this post by stating that I was inspired by a purple dotted manicureĀ Ā on the Nail Polish Wars blog. It popped up on Pinterest and I couldn’t resist putting my own spin on it.

BeautyUK Moonstone

Just quickly want to mention that these photos are from Easter, the day before I did my Easter Egg nail art šŸ™‚ this was the base colour. Sorry for using ancient photos but this polish is definitely pretty enough to deserve a review of its own before I forget about it! I first saw this thanks to the lovely Liloo who reviewed it in a guest post over on Lipglossiping.

BeautyUK Moonstone Nail Polish Gem stone collection posh polish silver blue foil baby blue shimmer orly rage glitter microglitter UK nail varnish pale blue silverĀ This is a very pretty pale blue foil polish. Foils are always gorgeous, one of my favourite finishes. Moonstone looked very silver in most lights, but you could definitely see the blue tone which gave it that extra pretty edge. Quite unique, methinks!

Application:

The photos all show Moonstone at 3 coats, though it is pretty much opaque at 2. The polish dried quickly too which is always good. I did find application a little tricky due to the width of the cap – usually this isn’t a problem for me but it’s also a little short so I found it tricky to get a good hold on it but I know many people like this type of cap. Other than that, no complaints! I never like to put a topcoat on foils as they just don’t seem to gel well with topcoat, I find the finish too… too something to need it. Foily? Sparkly? I wonder if you guys know what I mean. Lol.

Moonstone was released as part of the ‘Posh Polish’ range which should be available in most Superdrugs, or alternatively at BeautyUK online. It costs Ā£3.49 Ā – a little steep for BeautyUK but I think that’s just me taking their lower prices for granted! What do you think- have you tried Moonstone or any others from the Posh Polish line? Let me know!

Easter Egg Nail Art

Last Easter I did mini egg nail art, so this year I was casting around for more inspiration. You know when you get the cute little chocolate eggs in coloured foil? That’s what inspired me this time. My camera seemed to be playing up a little, the second photo is a bit blurry (sorry!).

These were done with sellotape (lots of it!) for the straight lines and many many polishes…! Here’s what I used:

Hope you like them! What did you adorn your nails with this Easter? Link me up if you have any pictures/blogposts on Easter manicures!
