So today I have a US Indie polish to show you by one of my favourite indie brands: Scofflaw. I’m not sure whether it’s the beautiful labelling, the names, the actual polishes or all three that makes me love them so much but I doooo! Which is how I ended up with the ones I have. I think I had a little panic when Llarowe had a Scofflaw restock back in the summer and worried they’d sell out (I’ve said it before, I really am a marketer’s wet dream!) so I bought all that were in stock! Eek!
Even worse is that I’ve only actually worn two of them, and I have nine! (I’m going to pretend for now that this is the only brand I have this problem with…). Today I have the wonderfully unique ‘Electric Salamander’ – if the name alone doesn’t sell you on this polish, take a peek at what it looks like on:
Electric Salamander is a slightly off-white jelly base (slightly grey-tinted to my eyes), filled with neon blue hexes in two sizes, metallic dark green hexes, metallic pale green hexes, tiny lilac and blue hexes and a barely-there reddish shimmer that just adds a touch of sparkle in the light. It’s such a unique combination of colours to me and I think to be honest, it’s the neon blue glitter that does it for me.
Application:
Easy to apply, quickdrying and 2 coats for opacity sums it up! You will probably need a topcoat as it dries a little bumpy and dull.
I really love this polish and I’m happy I pulled it out after all this time! You can buy Scofflaw Nail Varnish from Rainbow Connection in the UK, Finch’s site (US only) and Llarowe, for slightly different prices in each, but all competitive!
What do you think?
