Hey everyone! Here is a polish I am in LOVE with. Happy Hands, a firm favourite indie brand of mine, and Polish Revolution have collaborated to create the ‘Project Badass’ collection, sold under the brand name ‘Happy Revolution’. TOO cool! The collection is apparently based around Always Sunny in Philadelphia. To be honest, I’ve never heard of it before, but I am loving this collection!
It took me a long while to narrow down my favourites (see the full Project Badass Collection), but finally I chose three. (Bloggers, do you ever find that when you’re linking to other sites you fall in love with all the ones you didn’t choose?!). I chose Kitten Mittens, Rum Ham, and Nightcrawlers… all of these are <33333.
Kitten Mittens is a beautiful soft white jelly polish, with satin-finished hexagonal glitters in baby pink, minty blue, white and black, and satin-finished minty and baby pink squares. O.M.G.! I am in love with this combination. And the name is just so CUTE! This is the kind of polish that will look amazing both layered and on it’s own. The photos show it on it’s own – my personal favourite way – I love the squishyness of the finish.
Application:
The photos show 3 coats. I think this polish is mostly opaque at 2 coats but there were a couple of tiny patches where the polish was a little sheer which is why I added the third. Also I just love that glitter coverage at 3 coats. The application was fine – a little streaky but nothing the third coat didn’t cover up. Equally layered over white this wouldn’t be a problem. It dried relatively quickly, and REALLY shiny 🙂 love it! I added a topcoat just to make the most of the jelly finish.
This polish should have cost me £8ish including postage (from the USA) but unfortunately customs intercepted it because it was marked as the actual price on the package – to be honest I’m lucky it didn’t get seized because it was marked as polish – eek! Anyways, the customs charge came to £11.38 (with £8 handling fee for lucky ole Royal Mail – fuming!) so the polish ended up costing me about £14! Lesson learned: always request the seller to mark it down to avoid customs charges – ALWAYS. You can buy any of the Happy Revolution Project Badass from either the Polish Revolution Etsy store, or the Happy Hands Etsy store. They are the same price from each.
Even though this cost me nearly £14 I still feel like it’s worth it – it’s gorgeous! I just want to wear it always! (Anyone else ever feel like they wish they had more hands?!) What do you think? Are you a fan of Always Sunny in Philadelphia?
x
