Blue-ming Lovely – Rainbow Series

Hey there! It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time for another instalment of the Rainbow Series with Charlie of Pocket Money Polishes 🙂 This week is blue. Blues, like greens, are one of my very favourite colours, so choosing my top ten was SO HARD!!! I started out by picking out all my favourite blue and came up with 47… I then managed to narrow it down to 17, but from there I just could not decide! So I’m going to default on this selection and say that there are still more favourites, but here are some of my top blues!! 🙂

Top row left to right: Nubar Absolute, Emily de Molly Dark Depths, Ciaté Power Dressing, Ciaté Pool Party, China Glaze High Def.

Bottom row left to right: Pretty & Polished Sea Spray, Illamasqua Nudge, Leighton Denny Meteor Match, Wing Dust Perfect Day, Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe.

Thumb:
– Nubar Absolute: Sheer pale blue holo. Opaque in 3-4 coats, applies evenly. Holographic.
– Emily de Molly Dark Depths: Deep blue base with green and blue glitter. Opaque at 2 coats, applies evenly. Jelly glitter.

Index:
– Ciaté Power Dressing: Dark blue. Opaque at 2 coats, applies evenly. Creme.
– Ciaté Pool Party: Bright cobalt blue. Opaque at 2-3 coats, applies evenly. Crelly. Cheap dupe is Barry M Blue Grape, but formula not as good.

Middle:
– China Glaze High Def: Gorgeous periwinkle blue holo. Opaque at 2 coats. Applies evenly. Linear Holographic.
– Pretty & Polished Sea Spray: Dark blue holo. Opaque at 2 coats, applies evenly. Linear Holographic.

Ring:
– Illamasqua Nudge: Duck egg blue. Opaque at 2 coats, applies evenly, but I’ve noticed occasional cracking with wear. Creme.
– Leighton Denny Meteor Match: Grey with strong blue shimmer and silver microglitter. Very sheer, best layered. Shimmer.

Pinkie:
– Wing Dust Perfect Day: Pale blue with gold, copper, blue and more glitter. See blogpost for more info. Crelly glitter.
– Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe: Deep blue with blue and green glitter. Opaque at 2-3 coats. Applies evenly. Jelly glitter.

My honorary blue for today is Barry M Neptune Sea – the most beautiful magnetic polish I think I’ve ever come across 🙂 What are your favourite blues? I can think of endless colours I haven’t mention here… sorry blues :(!
