Imagination In Colour UK Nail Polish Blog
This was another of the Barielle polishes I picked up in the ‘Heavenly Blue’ box set in TK Maxx, along with Barielle Swizzle Stix. It turned out to be one of my best buys – I adore every single colour in it, and at 5 polishes for £9.99 you can’t go far wrong.
You know me, I just adore blues and there is nothing better than a deep midnight blue creme:
Love love love love this polish! The closest polish I have to this is GOSH Attitude, but even that is a lot brighter and more blue, while Berry Blue is definitely more muted and blackened. The reason I put in a few indoors+flash photos at the end is because this is a polish which looks slightly different in different lights. I think this is sooo sophisticated and classy, I feel like this is the optimum shade for office/smart wear. It’s also perfect for Autumn/Winter! This will definitely be on my nails a lot this A/W.
Application:
Perfect. The polish was about 98% opaque at 1 coat, with just two streaks on two nails which is why I needed 2 coats. It dries quickly to a super high shine (hence why many of the sunny photos are so glare-y!) and applies evenly. There’s really nothing more to it! The slightly paler blue tint you see at the edges of my cuticles isn’t noticeable in person – Berry Blue looks the same colour throughout.
Sadly Barielle doesn’t seem to retail anywhere in the UK (other than from time to time in TK Maxx, on blog sales or on eBay) – if you know of a good Barielle retailer for the UK please please please let me know! I genuinely feel like theirs are the best formula (other than Barry M) I’ve ever worn. For those of you to whom this is quite easily accessible, I would 100% recommend it!
