Stellar Come Away With Me (Norah Jones)

Helloooo lovelies! Today I have a really, really special polish to show you. Stellar is an up and coming UK Indie brand run by the lovely Ruth. She kindly sent me two nail varnishes she made for me, as a ‘cheer you up’ pressie – I was definitely smiling when I saw them!

As always with the UK indie makers, this is a truly, 100% unique polish. The name is the song Ruth was thinking of when she created it – I think this is a truly lovely idea, and I’m listening to the song now as I write this! I love the inspiration in this bottle.

Stellar Come Away With Me (Norah Jones) UK Indie polish macro shotCome Away With Me (Norah Jones) is a gorgeous, complex blend of greens and blues. It makes me think of a lagoon, hidden away in a world of calm. It’s beautiful! Starting with a green-tinted blue base, it’s packed full of green and blue shimmer, with hints of gold too. It beautiful holographic sparkles, which really catch the sunlight! Then it has square glitters, and large holo circles. It’s simply gorgeous, and I really, really love it. The glitter is dense but not overwhelming, which is just perfect.

Application:

I had no problems, it applied smoothly with even coverage, and was opaque at 2 coats. It dried nice and quickly. I would recommend using a topcoat to get the most out of the shimmer and holo, and it gives it a nice smooth finish. I did have to place the large circles, but this is practically a given with large glitter.

Ruth is currently selling via her personal Facebook page, which you can find here, so drop her a private message for a request for an existing or a custom nail polish. These really really are wonderful polishes, and are some of my favourites from my whole indie collection – you should definitely check them out! Ruth often also posts about her polishes on her instagram (@ruth_knall) so make sure to follow her so you can see more of her wonderful creations!
