Revlon Charming, like Dreamer, is part of the 80th Anniversary collection Revlon released this year. The collection consists of 20 new nail polish shades. I’ve gone a bit crazy over Revlons lately, and the 2 for £9.99 offer in Superdrug and 2 for £10 in Boots has not helped my bank account!
Charming is a lovely lavender creme. It’s one of those pastels that looks good on all skin tones – this makes a nice change from the usual lobsterifying pastels that just don’t suit my skin! The photos all show 2 coats. Sorry for the cuticle-pooling on my middle finger, I genuinely didn’t notice til I saw the photos!
Application:
You’ll be pleased to hear that Charming is pretty much opaque in 1 coat, I wore it with just the one coat for a full day and didn’t notice any bald streaks until I was in bright artificial light. I would recommend adding a 2nd coat just to ensure you have even coverage. The polished had an average dry-time, (not very fast but not wildly slow either), so the opacity is very much in your favour!
I thought I’d show you a quick picture to demonstrate how different Charming is from Barry M Berry Ice Cream:
Charming is far more blue-toned than Berry Ice Cream and there’s no way they are dupes 🙂 good news for purple-lovers out there!
Personally I’m not a huge fan of purple pastels, there’s not alot about them that excites me. Charming is definitely a very clean, pleasant polish though, one that is very much suited to Spring!
How do you feel about purple pastels? I kind of feel that it needs some shimmer to make it more interesting!
Have you bought any of the Revlon 80th Anniversary polishes? I have gone way overboard with them, I have eight :s oops! I suppose the formulation of Revlon justifies my spending 😉
Let me know what you think of this one. It’s Sunday today and it’s raining and I’m currently sitting soaked in my bed – I got a little bit caught in the rain!
Hope you guys are doing well, drop me a line! You have enough social media gadgets available to get me on now 😉 Haha.
