Little bit of simple nail art for you today! I will start this post by stating that I was inspired by a purple dotted manicure on the Nail Polish Wars blog. It popped up on Pinterest and I couldn’t resist putting my own spin on it.
What I used:
- 2 coats of BeautyUK Jelly Bean (I did try to take photos of this for a review post but I made a bit of a mess so I’ll need to redo the photos in the future- for full swatches see Liloo’s post on the BeautyUK Candy Collection!)
- Barbara Daly Amethyst
- Barry M Lilac Foil
- Barry M Berry Ice Cream
- Barry M Matt White
- Barry M Vivid Purple
- Barry M Retro 5 Tainted Love
- Ciaté Showgirl
- Color Club Alter Ego
- Dotting tool, large and medium sizes
The best thing about this look is that it really doesn’t need a lot of time or skill to do – simply dot the dotting tool into a little blob of each polish and dot it onto the nail! The addition of Ciaté Showgirl was what made it eyecatching in person, so if you’re using a different set of colours, make sure you use one totally different to off-set the others!
In retrospect I should have added a topcoat but this was just one of those late-afternoon experiments so I didn’t really think about it at the time unfortunately!
What’s your easiest nail art look?
