Hey chickas! A while back I picked up two GOSH Frosted Sand Look polishes… and promptly forgot about them. I’ve worn this one once already and adored it, so when I decided last night that I needed something glittery but not too OTT for my interview today, this sprung to mind.
The cap on these is sparkly and slightly textured too… it’s the little things! It promises a “glittery matt finish” – which is certainly accurate! You know what I’m like with textured polishes… there aren’t enough of ’em in this world…!!! I can’t get enough!
Frosted Purple, isn’t so much purple as pewter… but I still love it! It’s a pewter gritty glitter, very like OPI’s Liquid Sands and Barry M’s, 2True’s and Rimmel’s textured effect polishes. It has two sizes of glitter – small, and slightly larger hexagonal pieces, all in the same colour. In artificial light it’s super sparkly, but in dull daylight it’s quite matte and not too in-your-face – perfect for an interview.
The last full photo shows it with 2 coats of topcoat, and I noticed topcoat actually transforms the colour into a deeper, darker tone, while making the silver hexagons pop! Beautiful.
Application:
Frosted Purple is virtually opaque at 1 coat but I used a second for longevity of wear and best coverage. (I sometimes find that textured polishes can show wear more easily with thinner or less coats). It applies really smoothly and evenly, and dries very quickly.
I have to say, I have yet to try a textured polish with a bad formula. Well, of the glitter ones, anyway. I wasn’t as keen on the coloured textures that Barry M and China Glaze brought out.
What do you think of this polish? It’s available in Superdrug for £3.99, where they also have a fair few other colours in this range!
