Hello everyone! I have a THERMAL polish to show you today!! If you haven’t experienced thermal yet (where have you been) it’s basically nail polish that changes colour according to temperature. So if you were to put your nail under a hot tap, it would be one colour, and then under a cold tap, it would change to another. There’s been a massive trend for them in the nail world but I personally haven’t got into them until now! (I know… where have I been…)
This one is a UK Indie polish made by Jess of Fat Puss Polish. I <3 Fat Puss! This one was actually a one-off polish not available for sale but it’s so pretty I had to share! 🙂
Lazy Days is a beautiful icy blue-white under heat, and which changes to a lovely periwinkle blue. It’s full of pale silvery-blue shimmer and it sparkles under the light – it looks like a very subtle holographic sparkle – super super pretty! 🙂 I really love the finish of this polish, it’s a little thick but it has a similar finish to that of a gel polish – it’s gorgeous!!
EDIT: I have to mention that the transition is a lot stronger than some of the photos show. For some reason my camera couldn’t quite grasp it though! x
Application:
The photos show 3 coats of Lazy Days; it was largely opaque at 2 coats but you could slightly see my nail line through it so I added a third. It’s a little thick to apply so care is needed to prevent dragging (although I think that may be partly because I’ve worn it so many times already, it might be drying up with the airspace hehe!), but it levels itself out well, aided by topcoat, and has no streaking. Due to the thickness it takes a little extra time to dry but this is no problem if you use quick dry topcoat.
I really really love this for the colour alone, so the thermal quality is a really fun extra. It’s a beautiful polish and I feel pretty honoured to have it! You can follow Jess @claws4paws on Instagram, she tends to sell her polishes on there now, not to mention she has gorgeous nails and always posts pretty pictures of them!
What are your thoughts on the thermal trend? Do you have any? I have to confess that I may have ordered another one after enjoying this one so much!
x
