I am going to burn myself out like crazy this month, I’m doing two nail challenges…! (What was I thinking?!). Today I am showing you these antique-inspired nails as part of the ‘Three Nail Challenge‘, devised by the lovely ladies at Mateji Ustvarjata. The basic idea behind this challenge is that there are three themes: time, favourites and adjectives. We must create a look, based on the theme of the day, once every four days (see the blog post linked above for more details!). As you can tell, I missed the first theme, ‘antique’, but since it’s not quite time for the next design I guess it’s okay… sorry ladies!

Boots 17 Orange Soda
This is my ‘day 2’ of the 30 Days of Untrieds Challenge by Polished Criminails. (Yes I know I am ages late haha, I’m hoping I’ll get back on track soon!). I was going to try to do some nail art for this one but everything I tried failed miserably so here is just a standard review!
Brush Marbling – Blues
You may very well have heard about water marbling (a nail art technique where you use water to create a swirly pattern in nail polish to transfer to your nails – Google it for more info!), and this “brush marbling” came about through experimentation with a tiny nail art brush just before I removed Barielle Berry Blue.
Jelly Sandwich – Barry M Bright Red
Rachel-Karina at Polished Criminails has set up a “30 Days of Untrieds Challenge“, in which the idea is that you post a new manicure (using the set theme of the day) every day for 30 days, each one using at least one ‘untried’ polish. The theme today (1st September) is red. I am a little late posting this as I completely forgot it was September already…!
Barielle Berry Blue
This was another of the Barielle polishes I picked up in the ‘Heavenly Blue’ box set in TK Maxx, along with Barielle Swizzle Stix. It turned out to be one of my best buys – I adore every single colour in it, and at 5 polishes for £9.99 you can’t go far wrong.
You know me, I just adore blues and there is nothing better than a deep midnight blue creme:
