Nails Inc. x InStyle Freebie – Electric Teal
I picked up Electric Teal and Fashion Fawn, as I only had enough money for two and I thought that Candy Orange looks very similar to Rimmel Tangerine Queen.
Electric Teal is a true teal creme. It actually leans a little green-er than the pictures imply but it is essentially just a dark teal. I think sophisticated is the word that comes to mind. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s unique, but neither are the other two. Shame really, but still, I love this!
Dries fast, as is usual with Nails Inc., opaque in two coats and with a lovely glossy finish, I can’t fault this one. It gets extra points for matching my bedroom 😀 (Electric Teal combined with Fashion Fawn and I blend in perfectly!) I’ve noticed, since encountering some severely pooling-prone polishes – that the consistency of Nails Inc. polishes makes it very easy to control where your polish goes.
I am still tempted to go and buy Candy Orange when I have the money, but since reading Liloo’s post I am a little wary of it! Have any of you tried these polishes yet? What do you think?

Updated Nail Polish Collection
This isn’t a showing off post, au contrare, I wish I had more – lol.
I thought that maybe for the benefit of you all I would put up some photos of my current collection, and say for example you want to see a picture of a particular polish I happen to own you can let me know in the comments box. I will also link pictures I have already taken when I name the polishes, if that makes any sense. Basically click the blue words if you want to see the pics.
Grouped by brand.
Here is my storage, I managed to find a large shoebox which will fit perfectly for the next 20 or so polishes, then I suppose I’ll have to move on to bigger and better boxes.
So this is going to seem like a tiny collection to certain among you who will no doubt have about ten times the amount that I do 😛 Believe you me I plan on expanding my collection for ever and always to the extent that income allows. Haha.

Models Own Smash Up Polish Silver – Blue/Turquoise Series
I was lucky enough to win the Models Own Twitter competition, celebrating the release of the black and the silver Smash Up polishes. I can’t tell you how excited I was to receive the silver crackle as I’ve been eyeing it up ever since I first heard about it. These two polishes were released on Monday 11th April. The polishes arrived super duper fast, and in a well protected package.
I’ve decided to do a series of posts on the silver shatter over different coloured nail polishes, as I always find it can be a bit hit and miss with certain polishes as to whether or not it will look alright. Today I’m starting with blues/turquoises.
Disclaimer: I won this polish in a competition from the brand owner. Despite this, I maintain that I will only publish my own personal views and opinions as I would hate to mislead any one of you, particularly as a student I know just how precious money can be.
Nails Inc. Petticoat Lane
This is another of the polishes I received in the Lucky Dip, so it’s a discontinued polish, but I’m fairly sure there have been a few floating around on eBay recently. This is basically a raspberry coloured jelly, packed with pink glitter suspended in the polish. It applies beautifully and dries ever so fast! I am slowly becoming addicted to Nails Inc. polishes, largely for their fast-drying properties! I’ve had my eye on a few raspberry jellies recently so I was more than pleased when I opened my Nails Inc. package to find this beauty! My only qualm is that it looks quite dark when it isn’t in direct light, but it is gorgeous and I love it, this is my second wear in 2 weeks! It kind of reminds me of the O.P.I. Katy Perry polish in The One That Got Away, but with more, and larger, glitter.
I didn’t fancy the glitter removal challenge after the first day of wearing it so attempted a leopard print design…
