Dark Metal Lacquer Too Many Puppies

Hey chickas! Since I stopped creating my own indie nail polish I’ve kind of lost touch with the UK indies. However one created by a friend, Kamila, caught my eye, and I bought it 🙂 She was kind enough to pop this one in as a sample, and I love it!! This lovely handmade nail polish is called Too Many Puppies (although I can’t imagine that there can EVER be too many puppies… EVER!)

I also love the shape of Dark Metal Lacquer‘s bottles – it’s so unique to my collection, which is always exciting!

Too Many Puppies is a lovely bright pastel blue creme filled with navy microglitter. I think the microglitter is a really interesting touch – it gives the polish a slightly textured feel and sets it apart from all the generic blue cremes out there. It’s not massively visible from a distance so if you love subtle glitter this one is for you 🙂

Application:

The pictures show two coats at full opacity, with one coat of topcoat. The polish was a tiny bit thick, so the first coat was a little streaky, but this was all easily fixed with the second coat. The finish is semi-matte, so the glitter looks really interesting against it. It dries really quickly 🙂

Overall I really love this nail polish – I think the navy glitter makes for a lovely finish, and it makes the polish unique. I also think it would make a great base for some nail art 🙂
