Pink and Black French Manicure - Imagination In Colour

Pink and Black French Manicure

Here is a simple bit of nail art, which literally took me about 10 minutes! No fiddly bits involved 🙂

What I used:

I’ve always loved bright pink with black as a combination, I think they really make each other pop. There is no way I could do a neat french tip without the Nailene Perfect Tips tip guides! For £3.05 you get 96 tip guides – they are basically strips of sticky plastic which are slightly curved, which you stick on your nail to create a stencil for where you paint the tip. You must make sure the base colour is totally dry before you stick the guides down as you will ruin your manicure if they are only touch-dry! Also it’s important to stick them down very firmly to ensure none of the tip-colour can bleed underneath the guide when you apply it. My only little qualm with these is that it’s quite difficult to paint a thin coat for the tip, but a topcoat will help to level it out.

What do you think? I really liked this, and I’m looking forward to trying out a proper French Manicure with the tip guides as I’ve never had one! The guides are definitely worth the money for me as I really struggle to form a neat line free-hand. And it’s not like they break the bank either! (Although I really hate that nail products never come in tens… clever marketing strategy but it just annoys me!)
