Since I’ve been posting a fair few mainstream nail polishes lately, I felt like it was time to show you all another indie from one of my favourite makers – Hare Polish :). I know this one isn’t exactly season-appropriate, but hey, rules were made to be broken ;). I believe the inspiration behind this nail polish is Lisa Frank, an artist who uses very bright, colourful media in her pieces.
As usual, Nikole (the lady behind Hare Polish) has created a small masterpiece – this nail polish is just stunning.
0_0 This is so beautiful!! I initially bought this nail polish as a loyal fan but now it’s one of my very favourites! It’s a beautiful vibrant (almost neon) pink jelly, filled with matte neon pink squares and hexagons in multiple sizes, iridescent purple/blue squares, and golden flakies. It’s a beautiful combination! In person it’s amazingly bright, and with a healthy coat of topcoat it looks squishy and beautiful like a gel.
Application:
When I first applied this, the polish was a wee bit on the thick side, and thickened with air contact. However after I added some thinner, it’s been perfect ever since. It of course applies like a jelly, but because there is so much glitter in there the opacity isn’t an issue (the pictures show 2 coats – I think if you have a long free edge you may need 3, or to layer it over a bright pink). It dries to a semi-matte, bumpy finish, so it definitely needs topcoat. I added 2 coats of topcoat. It dries quickly though, so not all bad! 🙂
I adore this, like really really really love it. If you remotely like pink, you need this for sure.
I bought mine from Rainbow Connection UK, for £8.50 (currently out of stock). You can also buy it from Hare Polish directly, when they restock, or Llarowe in the US (also currently out of stock) – just remember to factor in international shipping! While it is currently out of stock in these places, it will be restocked in the future so keep an eye out for each of their restocks!
