Here is one of my favourite bright pink creme polishes (in close competition with Marks and Spencer Neon Pink). It’s one of those standard pink polishes that everyone needs in their collection. For some reason I often overlook bright pink polishes, I think because I only ever used to wear pinks and reds as a young girl and I tend to forget how flattering and beautiful they can look.
I just love the squishy jelly finish that Shocking Pink has. It’s one of Barry M’s ‘crellys’ (creme-jellys: not quite opaque enough for a creme, not quite sheer enough for a jelly but with the glossy finish of a jelly). It’s a blue-toned bright pink, but in certain lights it takes on a deeper berry tone. I think this one would be flattering on pretty much anyone! It dries slightly darker than in the bottle, and also a lot brighter (in the bottle it looks a little dull).
Application:
The polish was opaque at 3 coats, as shown in the photos. The polish applied evenly and dried fairly quickly. The best part is how glossy it is without topcoat – the photos are shown with topcoat, but I honestly don’t think that the topcoat added any shine.
I love this polish, I’ll definitely be using it a lot more often in the near future, I really underestimated how pretty it looks on! What do you think? Are there any polishes that remain unloved at the bottom of your stash?
