Maybelline Street Art Alley Attitude

Hey lovely ladies. The other week I showed you Maybelline White Splatter, one of the Maybelline Street Art (or Street Artist) nail polishes – I really love these! They are really simple glitter mixes but they are super effective for brightening up a manicure or making a plain polish look more interesting. I have been wearing this manicure all day today, and I’m loving it; it reminds me of birds’ eggs! So super cute πŸ™‚

Lately I’ve really been getting into wearing glitters over plain colours (particularly pastels!) so here I’ve used one thick coat of Maybelline Alley Attitude over two coats of CiatΓ© Sugar Plum (told ya I’d use the Mini Mani Month up, didn’t I?!)

Pocket Money Polishes I Put A Spell On You

Hello lovelies! Today I have a really pretty polish to show you which was gifted to me (and made) by my first real-life polish friend, Charlie of Pocket Money Polishes πŸ™‚ I’ve always loved Charlie’s glitters but it’s only in the last 6 months or so that I’ve got into wearing glitter as a topcoat properly, so I haven’t had a proper chance to write a blog post about them yet!

I umm-ed and ahh-ed about the perfect base for this polish for ages. In the end I settled for one coat of P.M.P. I Put A Spell On You over two coats of Illamasqua Poke, my new favourite purple :). I feel like the combination worked really well πŸ˜€

Fat Puss Polish That’s Not A Kitty It’s A Unicorn!

Hey chickas, I’ve got another Fat Puss Polish to show you today! πŸ˜€ I’m not sure what it is about Fat Puss Polish that makes me love them all so much, perhaps it’s the kitty theme, or maybe Jess just has the best ideas for polish! Either way, all of the ones I own are gorgeous πŸ™‚

This one I’ve been waiting until I can think of the best ‘undies’ to use for it- I think I’ve finally found my favourite combination. This is 1 coat of That’s Not A Kitty It’s A Unicorn! (TNAKIAU for short!!) over 2 coats of Essie Naughty Nautical (a gorgeous teal creme with silvery shimmer).

Quirk Polish Fantine

Hey ladies! Today I have another (yes… another) UK Indie to show you πŸ˜€ what can I say – my fellow UK Indie makers just keep coming up with the coolest polishes πŸ™‚ this one is by the lovely Kerrie, who also runs the blog PishPosh and Polish! πŸ™‚

Quirk released the ‘So Bloody Miserable’ collection (coolest name ever!) at the end of 2013/ beginning of 2014 (I’m always a little hazy on dates!) which is inspired by Les Miserables. I have to be honest – don’t hate me – I’ve never seen Les Mis, ever! So I honestly have no idea what this polish is in reference to, however, I do definitely think it’s very beautiful!! πŸ™‚

Maybelline Street Art White Splatter

Hey chickas, today I have a new glitter topcoat by Maybelline to show you. It’s from the Street Art collection (although on the bottle cap it says ‘Street Artist’). After hearing a few fellow nail addicts talking about these I had a little wonder in Superdrug. There seems to be four on offer here, although I’ve seen more selection in the US (as always!).

I am certain that Maybelline have been taking tips from indies. First there were the Polka Dots, and now there’s these glitter topcoats that look suspiciously indie-like! (If so, that’s fab for all of us indie makers!). What do you think? Today I have ‘White Splatter’ to show you πŸ™‚
