Hey chickas! After I posted about the Revlon Parfumerie Ginger Melon the other day, I couldn’t stop ogling the others a the polish impressed me so much. I did end up buying three more, the first of which I’ll be showing you today. I know scented polish isn’t for everyone, but it’s one of those things that I absolutely love and I feel like Revlon do it best! I did write a list on the other post of the ones I liked the look of, but in the end I only got one of those because I felt in a spring-y mood and bought spring-type colours instead.
This one is Pink Pineapple 🙂
Pink Pineapple is a sheer baby pink crelly, which builds up nicely to an opaque finish. The scent is definitely pineapple, but a slightly artificial scent with a hint of coconut and strawberry… I think! 😛 It smells a bit like a cocktail, which I think is awesome and once again I was sniffing my nails all day. It’s definitely a synthetic scent – it’s not what a fresh pineapple smells like, but it has the pineapple aroma!  The scent isn’t as strong as with Ginger Melon and it definitely fades away a bit more, especially with topcoat, but for those of you who find scented polish a bit overpowering that’s probably a good thing.
Application:
The photos show 3 coats, which was pretty much opaque for me. The polish was quite streaky which you can probably still see a little in the photos, hence the third coat. I would also recommend leaving at least 5 minutes between each coat to help minimize the streakiness. The consistency is thin and milky so you have to be careful not to let it flood your cuticles – try not to overload the brush with polish too much. It dries quickly and to a lovely high shine, so if you can live with the streakiness it’s a winner!
I’m really into soft baby pinks at the moment and it seems that there are more around currently, and I always think you need to try a few to find your perfect one. This one is quite flattering to my pink skin tone and not chalky and stark in appearance which is a big must for me.
The Revlon Parfumerie Collection is available at Boots both online and instore – they retail at £6.49 and are often on offer! 🙂
